TV Series

Gonna get on that as looks like it will be good.

Just watched first episode of black lightning, ok if you like your superhero stuff, not as pulpy as the other CW dc shows.

Manhunter the unabomber is decent enough on netflix

Given up with Dark.
Damn i just moved that to one of my perm archiving folders thinking it may be one to keep. I may have to re-evaluate that decision.

Looks interesting.

Only got two episodes of Gomorrah series 2 to watch, hammered it this week, good to see S3 is just about to start, too, love it.

I binged nearly all of it in 3 days. Really hard to pull yourself away from isn't it. Season 3 is already around in 1080p with correct subs in some places ;-)

Good call on Black Lightning, it nearly slipped past me. The title sounds like one of those black power type films from the 70's when they made stuff like "Black Dracula" with the funky music constantly in the background.

I like the chap in it (Altered Carbon), i even liked the robocop rehash with him in it, i know i have shit taste in films. Going to be interesting this show at least, i hope.

'Jessica Jones' is, sadly, sanitised as the subject matter is quite challenging, as far as the Marvel Universe (and TV for that matter!) is concerned. If you don't know what the comic version is, I think the adaptation will seem a little confusing.

As for myself, I'm watching 'American Crime'; 6 eps into the first series. Man, I didn't realise how awesome this show is!!

John Ridley's style and direction was fantastic for the first two eps and it's set the tone for the rest of the show.

I think it brilliantly reflects the current state of the US, right now.

I would place it as 'the other side of the coin' of 'This is Us'; same type of dissection of the family unit with secrets and lies, but the dark side.

Excellent TV!

Would American Crime fill a Gomorra shaped hole in my life do you think? I'll be honest, i am struggling to find anything even close to as interesting.

Don't judge the man on just violent based programming!!

'American Crime' S01 is about family, race, the justice system and secrets and lies.

Totally different head space and some excellent actors pushing the drama!
I didn't mean it was a bad show, just not in the same league as gomorra. Chapo or Love/Hate could fill the void.

No, not even close. Have you watched El Chapo?
Sadly i have, and season 2. However i do have the Colombian version of the show with subs lying around. Cheers, forgot about that.

@Bigga thanks, i like complex shows that at least keep you guessing, as well as a bit of ultra violence hehe. These shows mix it very well. My fav scene of Narcos is actually when Pablo is just smoking a joint in a field with a beautiful view, j in hand and the harmonica music from the show playing.

Got that, downloading from server now gents. Some of these must give me my fix of absolute suspense... with a bit of blood possibly.

Love/Hate i have seen mentioned by those who know their TV so i'll have to give it a decent go. Romanzo Criminale i hear about to, not much idea about it though, time to google.

It's been overlooked for some reason. I rate it in the same league as the wire and sopranos.

Definitely slipped under the radar considering it finished production in 2014, I only saw it about 6months ago and I loved it, gutted when I'd seen it all and there was no more.

Just finished S2 of Gomorrah. Absolutely brilliant and gut churning in equal measures. Just have to wait until Wednesday for season 3 now. What a show.

Romanzo is worth a watch. Proper 70s Italian violent/chic.
