Spot on. Trying to get him and Fred before the summer madness starts and FFP2.A land grab before FFP 2?

I wouldn't have thought having a game tomorrow would impact on whether we sign him or not.Would love to see Mahrez as City, but with us having a game tomorrow night surely this has been left too late ?
not with vinny never fit and mangaler not up to itDoesn't stink of $$$$ all and we could have easily waited till the summer for Laporte.
I'll be very surprised if we actually made a bid for Mahrez let alone sign him!!. Peps own words in his press conference earlier saying he's 95% sure of no more incomings.

+1Mahrez is a great player, there’s no doubt about that, but, as I have said in the past, I would rather save the money and play Diaz when needed.
Diaz has huge potential, could do a job now, and will need to be given game time to avoid a (less petulant, mind) Sancho-esque situation. He can fill in over the next few matches and then split time with Jesus when he returns until Sane recovers fully.
Same amount as me. Get. It. Spent.
We knew we were pulling out of Sanchez 2 or 3 weeks ago, so would have started looking at alternatives, it was reported that there was a mystery 3rd target, with Fred off until the summer maybe we decided to go all in for the attacking player that's being flexible not panic. Even if we changed emphasis because of Sane doesn't mean Mahrez wasn't targeted a few weeks ago.eric has been 2yrs in the making as i'm sure you know,we were going for sanchez not mahrez,it stinks of panic

HmmmmmAnd Tolmie.
Txiki and several other administration staff are being considered as stop-gap solutions with Sane’s injury, what with their ability to make things happen in opposition territory—if chosen it would make negotiating a deal for Mahrez very difficult.I wouldn't have thought having a game tomorrow would impact on whether we sign him or not.
