Burnley (A) Post Match Thread

Arrogant, unprofessional performance. Forget Sterlings club feet, Gundagon and Aguero so greedy and as for the final ball, horrible.
 
Team is bit burned out. The energy level is well below our standard with four fronts .
Hope our injured players come back ASAP.

It's our own fault. Poor finishing. We did not put our feet on their necks when dominant. Tired players. Injuries taking their toll. But for Eddie, we would have lost that.
Burnley are better than some on here make out.
 
Sterling should never play on the left, he’s useless there. Absolute joke of a miss I’m still so pissed off at it. Aguero will just never be a pep player, he dribbles when he needs to pass and then passes when he needs to shoot... just doesn’t have the intelligence to link up in a pep team. Had Jesus played we would have been 4/5 up.

Also Kompany isn’t cut out for the system as well. That draw feels like a loss because we should have comfortably won that. We fucked up counter after counter and you could just sense what was coming once they threw caution to the wind and started pumping balls up. We were so poor on the counter today, so so poor.
 
Now for all the bitches whining about Diaz is good enough forget mahrez.. give the youth a chance... fact is they are not ready
 
Also before sterling becomes everyones whipping boy we would do well to remember we are where we are because of his important goals when they truly honestly mattered.
 
We're not clinical enough in front of goal. Expected a hard game with the injuries, but we really should have won that. Hopefully we can scrape the victories until Silva, Sane, and Jesus are back as we're thin on the ground.

So so wasteful, the refusal to shoot from anyone other than KDB even when in the box is annoying. Sterling was atrocious on the left, Bernardo did nothing from the right as he was simply shown down the line constantly, Aguero didn't do much and was provided with nothing, Gundogan just strolled through the game as is becoming the norm now, was only KDB going forward that looked threatening.

This result will be forgotten about tomorrow, it will have no bearing on our season but Pep needs to come up with something different with that set of players available as come the cup games we'll struggle. I never want to see Sterling on the left ever again.

We are not in a ‘fortunate position’. We’ve earned that position by winning 33 of the last 37 games.

We were always going to draw some games so it's not a biggy so keep things in perspective. We still need 6 wins 3 draws to get to 90 points which will be enough to win the league. I suspect 87 will do it though
 
So so many opportunities wasted, finally get the one easy chance to close it out and its wasted. I know we are in a great position but todays game really was so frustrating to watch. You just knew what was going to happen.
 
A touch of complacency creeping in and always vulnerable at 1-0. We should have been out of sight way before their equaliser. If Sterling is a confidence player then it will now be fecked ! 16 points clear though. Could be worse ! CTID
 
We looked very leggy that last 20 minutes. Vinny, KDB, Gundogan all looked knackered and that cost us. Vinny looks shot of confidence and probably 4th choice now.

Good rest now and kick on next week. We are really missing Jesus I think more than anyone. That kind of game would of suited him perfectly.
 
Fallout from failing to strengthen the attack during the transfer window, and there will be more to come. If you miss golden chances like we did today then you invite pressure. Diaz is not physically ready to play at this level. We have three attackers for three places! Impossible to compete in four competitions like this.
