Burnley (A) Post Match Thread

The media know they’re not ready they’re just scared of a player of Mahrez’s ability joining us so they scream about playing the kids.
The kid will become a player no doubt but he’s not ready just yet. Zinchenko would of been a better option today off the bench.

Woeful finish by Sterling. Game should have been wrapped up rather than winding down the clock from 75 mins on

I felt Aguero went missing today...poor from him. Diaz looks out of his depth. We should be left counting on him as the only help off the bench....beat ourselves today!

His build up play was very good again which is something Pep wants....

didnt have a real chance at all in front of goal (sterling got in his way for the one in the second half)

Sterling, Ilky and B. Silva all worse especially the first two.

16pts so no need to worry but sorry vinny caused all our problems and the final 20 mins we played into there hands by playing Burnley football ,we just stopped playing football .the sterling miss anyone can do it so move on to Leicester. .

We are looking very tired out there, de bruyne I feel looking the most tired. The cloggers have played a blinder injuring all our players.

For the first time this season I couldn’t see where a goal was coming from. Sterling is ineffective on the left, silva becomes a different player in the centre. Perhaps we should of give de bruyne a rest and played silva and gundo midfield with zinchenko and sterling on the wings.

Aguero is feeling the pressure too and seems to be getting a little greedy.

No blame or knee jerk reactions, just a commentary on our current (shit in relation to personel) situation.

But hey ho we are 16 points clear, I just don’t think today’s team and shape worked.

We got what we deserved in the end. Oh and Gundogan is not good enough.

No where near an able deputy for Silva. Number of times he got into excellent positions only to shot straight at a defender or miss and easy pass.

No David Silva reaffirmed my position that he is our most valuable player and without him our forwards aren't afforded that extra second or yard to make it easier for them, which doesn't bode well for life without David. Ederson is great and has better fundamentals than some of our outfield players!

And it pains me to say this but Vincent looked a yard off the whole game and with his injury record, him getting a run of games just isn't going to happen.

I refuse to blame Sterling. Been one of the best this season, top scorer for the team, can't seriously have a dig at him when he's one of the main reasons City are in first. Look at Aguero instead who was nowhere to be seen and always taking the wrong decisions. Really shocking performance.

Anyway, a win next match to get back on trail. Tough schedule ahead, can't possibly bottle this.

PS: Sean Dyche or whatever you spell it gets on my nerves for some reason.

Their brains became tired as well as their legs. Walker could easily have stopped the goal but just wasn't awake.

They just went to pot. Otemendi did something daft in the right-back position as well

I think once Kompany started to fade the rest were exposed. Dani as a defensive left back didn’t help and Diaz wasn’t able to hold the ball up

It looks like it was a game too far in terms of fatigue, stretched squad and generally these things happen from time to time

The kid will become a player no doubt but he’s not ready just yet. Zinchenko would of been a better option today off the bench.
Yeah, Diaz has the body of a 10 year old kid that skips his meals he’s not ready at all yet.
