Well if they gain 25 then they are still behind. Not that your logic more any sense. Why are they more likely to win by big margins then they are to win 1-0 or 2-1?Any team catching us really needs to win eleven so theirs goes up at least 11 and if on that form probably gain 25. Do you work on Talk Sport?
Best City can finish -------- 105 points

Best Spurs can finish ------- 85 points
Current United average ---- 79 points
Best Arsenal can finish ----- 78 points
Current Liverpool average - 76 points

So the based on the current average points hauls, no team other than us is expected to get over 80 points, although I think at least 1 team will, probably Liverpool, maybe United as well.
Your maths aren’t right. No, if my maths are right, if both teams get maximum points up until the derby, even if we beat them, The earliest we can win the league is the following match. (against spurs at Wembley)
And believe me that would be just as sweet for those of us old & ugly enough to still hold a massive grudge (Re 81, Ricky Villa, & all that bad sh*t)

If the league has been won the trophy is presented at the last home game of the season.Trophy isn't presented until final day (Southampton away)
If the league has been won the trophy is presented at the last home game of the season.
We still need to be cautious. We have a lot of tough away games in Arse, Spurs, Stoke, Everton (their cup final) and we saw yesterday that any result can happen in this league.
The Arsenal game on the Thursday won't be easy, if we win the league cup are we going to follow it up with beating them again so quickly?
Chelsea at home 2 days from Arsenal will also be tough, long way to go yet.
Win our 5 home games and it's done mathematically I think. No what you saw yesterday was a very ordinary utd side struggle to create or score and they got beat.
We on the other hand are a different beast and are effectively 17 points clear with goal difference.
Its over, accept it and enjoy it instead of desperately trying to find a reason as to why it might still be tough or we will struggle.
If the nightmare scenario for the rags (us winning it on derby day) was looking more and more likely with a couple of weeks to go before the derby, would they consider intentionally, er, not winning a game or two so that we'd have won it before we play them?
i got

so we agree on top 4
i was surprised at bottom 3 though, you would have got great odds on all three promoted teams staying up at the beginning of the season.
if i am right, which i rarely am, good news for those who backed City to score 104
