Interesting to see who Pep plays to play alongside Otamendi, possibly Vinnie because of his experience. Vinnie has lost a little pace which is worry especially playing against Aubamayeng, however I feel he does possess the experience of playing in big games.

So Vinnie for me.

Ok here's the drop, 100% of people on here agree that Eddie is the best keeper, no question about it, it's also 100% certain that Bravo will play, Pep has decided this is how he wants to play it.

Why can't we all just accept it and go and watch us win the game, it's not going to change, it's happening, get over it and enjoy the fact we are back at Wembley yet again.....
All due respect, but I think most of the guys are making their feelings known, that in a final, you should play your best team. At this point, I am not advancing the point, just highlighting the frustration.

Yes but it's frustration aimed at Pep as he's making the decision, nobody else, that's my point, we know what the best choice is but as it's not happening, we crack on and support whatever team sets foot on the pitch... Arguing the pro's n con's is fine but I'm backing Peps decision and rolling with it....!

Love Vinny, will be a legend for all time, but not sure experience can trump superior pace, agility, and ball control at this level.

In his prime he would have had Auba in his pocket... but now, I think it may end up being more “that” Vardy challenge after returning from injury situation.

I'd go for Stones as it has been our most regular CB pairing this season. I know he hasn't been in top form the last few games but Kompany has looked quite poor defensively and is nowhere near as good on the ball.

Wouldn't mind Laporte getting a game but might be a bit too soon for him to start in a final.

A good choice to have though.

Well, so am I, but it will not stop my head from fearing the worst :-)

I'm with you on that Blue, I have to wear sandals watching City so I can bite my toenails when I've finished destroying my fingernails :-)
How the fuck can you reach your toe nails, I can only just bend to fasten my shoes, before he comes up behind me with some pathetic remark ;-)

Can't see Pep starting anyone else but Otamendi and Kompany on Sunday. He isn't going to change the current centre back pairings for a final (in my humble opinion...) Laporte does look the business though.

When we first started dropping hints about Sanchez last year, I took an interest in gauging how well he played. When you look closely he ain't that quick with or without the ball. He's persistent, keeps trying and sooner or later, after a lot of giving the ball away, he'll get past the defender and take the ball into dangerous positions and has a decent shot. But no way is he worth that money and you can see why we pulled out. I think the name 'Alexi Sanchez' conjures up an image that the player does not live up to. Arsenal suited him. Manure don't. Not knocking him, he's good, but had we signed him in August he'd have been given all the credit for our current position in the league. Look, we know that Navas doesn't score, but in open play he crushed Sanchez - and not just in the way he made him look pedestrian.

I agree with all of the above, I just meant Navas in general is faster then most. Also about the Navas thing I was a big fan of him, I thought the abuse he got from City fans was unwarranted as he always put a lot in for the team.

Always gave everything. Awesome first touch - especially under pressure.
