I disagree. He doesn't talk to them prematch. They have a team meeting in the morning and he doesn't go into the dressing room before the game.

We often start quite slow from the first whistle and I would prefer he did a five minute talk pre-game as we always seem to charge out of the blocks following his half time team talk.

fact or imagination?

Final today
Going well in chumps league

He is doing fine

find it strange how the times said that sterling would be available but alvarez haya says he won't start (not that he won't play...)
sterling and jesus on the bench?

The officials are the only worry , last seasons semi final when we had a perfectly good goal disallowed still grates , and the more recent harsh sending off at Wigan , just hope none of the players dive-in giving Pawson an excuse to send a player off , you can guarantee he will not hesitate if we step out of line , whilst the Goons will be kicking lumps out of our midfield at every opportunity , expect a similar game to last year Wenger playing cautiously and waiting to land the sucker punch. But with Walker's pace and Otto's improvement this year ,we should be solid at the back , suspect Danilo will get the left back role and he is quick enough and Stones to get his chance to reproduce his outstanding early season form. Come on you blue boys !

Fact he says himself he stays out of the dressing room pre-match,he likes the players to work it out for themselves and we do often start slow and are much better 2nd half when he had given them a rocket at half time, esp at home

Lads, is Laporte available? And if he is, do you think he'll play?

I'd like him to play as Arsenal might well target our left side and Laporte can switch play to the right flank - but I am only looking at this in isolation from the big picture and he might not fit in. Pep is nothing if not meticulous and will have all bases covered.

No and yes. In that order.

so... final team predictions?

I'll go with

Bravo
Walker
Stones
Otamendi
Zinchenko
Fernandinho
KDB
Silva
Bernardo
Aguero
Sane

Ederson, Kompany, Laporte, Danilo, Gundogan, Foden, Jesus

Good player but every time we go forward with a bit of pace , and he gets the ball , he stops, and we get a bit of "come dancing " nearly EVERY time, .

yup

he is clearly someone that should be played centrally but while KDB and Merlin are there that aint happening regularly.....stragely the injury to Raz has probably limited his opportunity to play centrally as there is no one else that can play wide right (well Sane could but then you would have to put B/Silva out left.

While David was injured/unavailable and Ilky took over ran want playing at times so Bernardo had to play out wide........if ran had been fit id liked to have seen what Bernardo could do in conjunction with KDB centrally......but it never happened

Just thankful we have Sane back but he needs to turn up......he is quite erratic...some fabulous games and moments and also some very very average ones...(though always plays better when David is around). He is our biggest wide threat today......

Im also still really fearful of the Bravo situation....he just doesn't install any confidence, his shot stopping is pretty woeful and his distribution erratic. Aubamayang will be on him like a flash on any pass back and that worries me as well as long balls and through balls in behind...(Ederson nullifies that to a large extend (though has made a couple of errors this season.) but Bravo doesn't...he doesn't have the pace/anticipation off his line or out of his area that Ederson does. I know Pep is going to play him but its a huge risk. Pep has said sometimes the dressing room is more important than the trophy and I get that, but that also contradicts what he has said slightly earlier in the season about his own job security and needing to win trophies. (though i don't think for one second that the powers at be would remove Pep even if he won nothing this year - something i love about our owners)
