League Cup Final - Post Match Thread

Well done, first cup under Pep and on course to win the competition. 3 - 0 is pretty flawless result. Happy to see Vinnie playing a decisive role. Merlins goal was a beaty.
 
I am not sure we could be more proud of the club than we are right now.

Maybe at the end of the season...
 
We didn't even get out of second gear today.

I think that 1st half is a great example of why the League Cup is a great cup to win for a team like us because we looked nervous, edgy, not putting our game into action. No surprise that Vinny, Silva, Aguero - the players with experience of winning - were the players who came up big.

We won't be like that in the next final. Whether it's the CL this season, next season or a domestic cup, you get that first trophy as a team and then each consecutive one gets easier.
 
Especially happy for the three goalscorers who are all City legends and Bravo for obvious reasons.

No - they were poor but we upped our game and thrashed them second half. The easiest cup final win I can recall for us.

What summed the difference up was 3 - 0 up and in injury time and we are chasing back for our lives.

Arsenal 1 - 0- down and still in a final and they were walking back to try to defend!
