League Cup Final - Post Match Thread

The linesman did not say offside for the second but Arsenal protested and VAR did check it but agreed with linesman and ref that Sane was not interfering or trying to play the ball as he clearly wasn't.

So there was nothing for Wegner to moan about as VAR did its job perfectly and so efficiently that most in the ground will never have noticed.

I got a phone call last monday, just after ft at Wigan. Typical Irish rag who used to work at our factory until he retired a couple of years back. Giving it the full on big 'un treatment. Not a peep so far this evening. Wanker.
 
Pep hid his protest emblem with a scarf but will obviously now get a ban I presume for doing it as it was visible a few times.

We should give him a yellow painted megaphone to sit with in the stands so he can bark orders like an old movie director - don't think there is a rule against that is there?

Congratulations to Pep, the whole squad and the staff and the fans. Efficient performance and took our chances well. Great see Vincent back on top of his game, scoring and lifting the trophy. Hopefully Ferny came off while it was still a tweak and not a full-blown pulled muscle. The former might only be a week or so out, the latter could be a month or more. I still we'll be okay though - with everyone else fit, we can work around a Ferny absence.
 
Shout out to the officials - reffed the game and did not effect the result. Could have booked Wilshire earlier for his gamesmanship but happy with the performance
