League Cup Final - Post Match Thread

What's the kid saying, come on lipreaders
I once cried just like that at about his age when my dad took me to Old Trafford to watch a Derby whilst sat in the united end. At that point, I think he was still holding out some hope that I’d capitulate and start following united. Ever so glad he called that one wrong.

It was a midweek fixture, in or around 1978, the original game having been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. United went 2-0 up and I burst into tears, only for City to pull two goals back (Kidd and Barnes iirc) to draw the game. I wasn’t crying at the end.

Good luck to the kid. Nothing wrong with caring about your football club, whatever your age.

You won't see a young nipper crying at Old Trafford as even the sons and daughters of the plastic brigade and just that chips off the old blocks.

If you do it is because they are bored and don't want to be there.

We were off the pace somewhat in the first half, but put them to the sword in the 2nd.

Gutted about Fernandinho, but made up to see Jesus back out there.... With this put of the way & the FA Cup too, we now know what we've got to do to see us through to the end of the season.

Has there ever been a bigger hypocrite in football then Wenger? He’s got a nerve calling Sterling a diver, his team are the biggest bunch of shithouse whiners and divers in the league.
Monreal’s embarrassing effort early on was so theatrical he had to go off injured (no card of course, surprise surprise) and as for Wilshire, I give up.

I hear Neville came across as a right bitter twat having a go at Arsenal. It's always funny when his mask slips, he was just upset we were winning it so comfortably.

Yes! Fuck yeahsss!

Beautiful blue legends Sergio, Vincent, David take a bow, and Bravo for the assist.

Been reading the Graun btl, gosh, what amount of vitriol and bile, but not from Tarquins fans who mostly took their defeat very graciously in the chin and are complimentary to us. It's the scum fans that are not taking it well, poor sods, hahaha.

Feel like singing the Blues.

Ok it's not a winner as such but to have Vinny score, and then David, after Sergio, don't think we could want more.

.
They will be crying because when their parent said they were going to "Old Trafford" the nipper thought he was going to watch a 20/20 cricket game.

Deserved mention for Bravo Of course he had a stinker of a first season with us, he started poorly and completely lost his confidence However he has shown this season with very little support from us. how good a keeper he actually is . He kept us in this competition and proved you dont get into Spains top team without quality, really pleased he has a medal in his hands, after another good game tonight
He is from Chile.
oooops! sorry you mean Barca.....lol

Sorry, Blue, and I am sure you mean well and just want a laugh. However, I do not wish to see a video of a child crying who supports a team we have just beaten in a final and seeking comments as to what he is thinking.

I'm not get easily offended but this might be a touch too far. Poor lad was clearly upset.
This entirely, and if anyone else thinks its ok or acceptable to use the footage of an upset child in an attempt at humour ....then think again.

Its a cvnts trick and bang out of order.

I see Fernandinho is getting some stick from their fans - reckon he should have been off in the first half for two Yellows.

I was in the third tier so may have missed something, but what the fuck are they on about?

Don't know and I don't care. We were robbed against them in the semi final last year. Just as we have discovered in the past, you can moan all you like but the result stands.

Fantastic weekend and a great result, someone said Zabba was there watching as well.

Checking out today to go home, still smiling. I thought days like this were never destined for Blues like us I am savouring every second.

If they are thinking he should have got a second yellow for the "foul" on that little shit Wilshere, they're wrong, he did jump in a bit, but wasn't anywhere near making contact, 3 or 4 inches short as he pulled out, and in fact Wilshere trod on him as he dived.

US commentators (including the not-especially-loveable Craig Burley) were clear: "That's a dive by Wilshire."
