Copa Libertadores...Delphin(ecu) v Bolivar (bol) yesterday
Ok I know its cold over there but here its hot and humid. Got the bus from Olon to Manta , took about 3 hours, arrived with plenty of time to book room and have a drink on the malecon (beach/esplanade). Got to the ground and all around it is closed, no chance of a pre game drink! got tickets $10 each in the open end opposite the hooligans, ( which is where we wanted to stand), Both teams looked decent but dolphin seemed to want to hoof the ball into the area for their big cf to put away. eventually he got his head to a cross and finished well to equalize. Bolivar were the better technical team and tried to play a passing game, they had a really good no 15, a striker who caused problems all game and scored from a bad back pass mistake, the young no 5 left back look very calm in possession even under great pressure, not saying he is prem quality but perhaps lower English leagues could look at this guy for the future. all in all a decent entertaining game as there was plenty of goalmouth action, loads of fouls, time wasting...just the usual s American football. don't expect either of these teams to go far in the comp but we would go again for the entertainment value.

no 5 is luis guitierez no 15 is juan callejon, the striker is marcus riqueleme
