I agree. In fact, I was thinking in the first half up until his goal that maybe this is the first time where Ozil finally manages to have a better game against him. :D Of course, that changed with the wonderful goal. But then again, even KdB wasn't as sharp with his turns and passing as he normally is. Maybe it's just the amount of games kicking in, or the bad ground conditions.

I think that was true for all of our midfield players. Their passing wasn't as crisp as they can be. Yet we still battered them.

I have to believe that the team was under instruction to primarily not concede and with the ball, primarily keep it. We clearly took our foot off the gas in the 2nd half, only half-heartedly trying to score every so often.

When my nephew comes i constantly tell him to watch silva off the ball, the ball could be miles away but hes lookimg around himself constantly, finding space for when the ball comes. Hes a genius with or without the ball at his feet
