The commentators clearly knew they were boing the passes backwards with it being stoppage time but they spun it into "booed by their own fans", everybody knew we were already through so it wasn't like the boos at Arsenal.
 
Played it like a testimonial, got what we deserved.
Must credit Basel - they fought hard with a back 5. City not switched on - too many poor performances.
Disappointing performance, we were too sloppy at times. BUT we are through - Spurs are not.
 
Could be worse as the attention we would have got will all be on Wembley.

They made a bit much of it in commentary. If Pep had been that worried he would not have brought two kids on in the second half but injected some thrust via KDB.

He didn't because it was not necessary to do more tonight.

He got good things from the kids tonight and they will be the ones to get game time after we win the league not Yaya who has gone from wanting a cake to looking like he has eaten a few before kick off.
 
First time this season the team looked like they couldn't be arsed. Not great to watch when we're playing at home, no matter what the aggregate score.

Really, really poor, that.

Good to see Foden and Diaz have decent showings. Sane good, too.

Into the Quarters is all that matters, really, but I hope we don't see that kind of performance in the league, otherwise our bums might need to start squeaking.

If your best player criteria is mazy runs to nowhere in particular with no final ball, you are absolutely correct.

Yes, he looks like the COULD be a player, as does Foden, as does Tosin, as does Zinchenko, as does Stones, as does Laporte, as does Jesus, as does Sané, as does Sterling. Not bad for a bunch of kids, in football terms!

He is full of vim and Igor in his cameos. One wonders if he can keep up the speed and rhythm for 90 minutes against men. Maybe we will get to see in the last games of the season?

Poor to be honest game was already won obv, but our “2nd string” did themselves no favours,so slow in build up play & so many sloppy passes, was strange watching us tonight i thought? we’ve been spoilt big time this season
 
I don't care about the result at all. Everything they needed to accomplish got done, through to the quarters and zero injuries. I have to believe Pep had them lay back a bit to keep the team fit.
 
Jesus needs to man up a bit, spent more time on his arse tonight, needs to get some of his sharpness back and stay on his feet... Diaz great tonight and well done Leroy, that's it though really... was weird watching our team play like the rags, imagine watching that week in week out ...!
