Do you really believe the league is over...?

‘Nightmares’ haha I mean wtf. Have you been watching us this season?

Sorry, but old habits die hard. After so many years of f..king it up. I know these games should be a formality and, no doubt, in years to come I will look back and laugh and wonder what the fuss was about.

I love your unfettered optimism but we were red hot favourites against Wigan, Basel, Crystal Palace and Burnley and look what happened!

It’s done when it’s done and for me becoming Champions is more important than what game that happens in.

ManUre keep winning the games we expect them to lose or drop points so until it’s mathematically ours I remain cautiously optimistic !!

Erh, are Basel in the draw for the CL on Friday?
We drew away at Palace and Burnley, hardly a disaster, favourites or not to draw only three games out of 29.
You require a dose of perspective, not optimism.

Ha ha. Followed City since The Ballet on Ice game v Spurs in ‘67 so that’s 50+ years of perspective! Feels like our luck has finally changed so we are getting the results our performances deserve.

Too many bad life experiences to ever take anything for granted so I try to live in the present and let the future take care of itself.

At present we haven’t won it. Yet !!

I hope life lets you stay an optimist. In my experience the realists are usually right in the end but the optimists have a much easier journey !

I've been going to City five years longer than you and this is the best City team I've ever witnessed.
Only a suicidal idiot would remotely think we are not going to win the league.
We need to have the form of Burnley and can still win the league, and they've just reached 43 points. Some of you need to lose the depression and enjoy the moment before it's passed.

The realists are only right because they keep moving the goalposts.
Before the Asenal and Chelsea games they were saying 'if we win them I'll believe', now it's become Stoke and Everton are 'nightmares'. They're so short sighted they can't see the future when it's in the present.

Ha ha. Well as an oldie you will know the only certainties in life are death and taxes ! Enjoy your optimism and I hope you are right sooner rather than later.

Quite. Isn't wumming against the rules?

I'm telling you now, I'm not wumming for one second.

Those fixtures are ones that I guarantee every single City fan looks at every season and gets a bit apprehensive about.

Stoke away: until recently we've had a poor return at the Britannia. Everton away: they always play like it's a cup final and we have an awful record there, even last year they beat us 4-0. Rags at home: past 2 seasons have been a draw and form goes out of the window on derby day. Tottenham away: Again, we have a poor record there and got beat and out-played last year.

They will not be easy games. That is literally all I said. 'I won't be counting my chickens'. That's it. And yet everyone jumps down my throat and has a pop at me when I've actually not said anything close to controversial.

Plus 1 .

We don't need to win a single game between now and the end of the season.
9 draws in the remaining fixtures means the rags / scum / filth need to win their remaing 7 games at an average of 4 -0 to catch us on goal difference.
Not going to happen
Therefore worst case that this run of "4 nightmare" games yields 4 points with a draw against the rags / scum / utter filth then it's over.

Disappointed in Liverpool, thought they might have got second place, now looks a real possibility that only Utd will get over 80pts. A win tomorrow night and any last worries should be dispelled.
