But the club sanctioned it and encouraged it, which is a bigger disgrace in my opinion.

All clubs have fans who are cnuts throughout football as we all know, but for the club to actively support such arrogance says so much about the whole ethos and lack of principle of the board, manager , etc. Fucking shameless, and they deserve all the shit that is heaped upon them at every failure , of which I hope there are so many.

I totally agree but I am sure a quiet word in the right lughole might have seen it disappear a bit quicker. I also hated the fact the TV always panned in on it too.

I am just waiting for Sky customers to realise that the only show in town worth watching is us, cancel their subs to the historic top 4 and watch the company go to the wall.
Sky money has distorted the game imo.

Their problems started when they came up with the ruse of Rooney's transfer request in 2010. They'd been tightly managed financuially up to then with a wage structure that was well below ours and Chelsea's. They could offer trophies but none of the top players would go there as it would mean taking a pay cut. Hence why there was "no value in the market". But Baconface's ability to make a title winning team that had players of more modest ability saw them right.

To get round this problem, Gill, Ferguson and (I assume) Rooney's agent Paul Stretford came up with the wizard scheme of getting Wazza to put in a "transfer request". There was never any such thing of course as we asked for evidence of this request before we'd talk to Stretford and none was forthcoming. But Chelsea weren't quite so cautious & put an offer on the table, which they used to batter the Glazers into submission and they reluctantly sanctioned the new contract, which was double what he'd been on previously.

That solved one problem but started another. They could pay decent money now but there were a few other players who were paid top money and they all had to have new contracts at the same rate. And everyone below that had a commensurate increase so their wage bill went up significantly. In turn, that meant they had to run just to stand still financially and had to sign up sponsors like there was no tomorrow.

I'm also convinced that Baconface's recommendation of Moyes to succeed him was his way of sticking two fingers up at the Glazers. Of course they then fell out of the top 4, lost CL money and had to spend big to try to get back there. Their buying has been knee-jerk, short-term and at least as much about making headlines and for commercial reasons than footballing ones. And the wage bill has got out of control as a result while their revenue growth has slowed down. Commercial income has been flat for three seasons and it's only the new domestic TV deal that has underpinned revenue growth. Their revenue is going to be flat for at least the next two years while the wage bill is set to rise again.

With at least £50m being skimmed straight off the top for interest and dividends every year, they' could be more stretched financially leaving them less able to compete in the market. I can see that they'll be desperate to get rid of any high earners that aren't pulling their weight, such as Pogba and Sanchez. The problem is, who'd pay them what they're getting? And st some point there'll be a big pay-off for Peg to come and the need to get yet another manager. And all that because Granny Shagger wanted a pay rise.

I actually got a little bit tumescent reading this.

Please god they spunk 60 million plus mad wages on bale in summer on a 5 year contract.

This post and your one before it I concur, spot on blue.

I think city supporters who are old enough to remember following us in the 80s and 90s can fully understand the depths of despair the club plunged to and the pain we suffered whilst the rags revelled at our misfortune and further demise,. How they enjoyed reminding us each time they gleefully changed the number on the banner in the ragford end, compounding our misery every time we went to the swamp or saw it on TV. The songs they sang like my old man and city are a massive club made me resent them even more, but I never once waivered from being a blue. I loved the club back then as much (if not more) than I do now, and their constant taunting and belittlement seemed to galvanise me even more.

Sometimes I wonder how things would of transpired to be if Dickov hadn't of scored that goal at Wembley in 99, but things would of been very different from a rags POV if Robins had not of scored the FA cup header that saved Fegie from the sack. Both were defining moments in our clubs history.

I think united fans took the clubs success under fergie for granted and their younger fans had never known anything but success.
There were times that such was the chasm of us and them(top4) I genuinely believed I'd never see us win another trophy since the distant memory of the 76 league cup win.

Nowadays, everyone knows we weren't there when we were shit, and our club was only founded in 2008. We have no history and we don't deserve our sugar daddy fortune and success as we are not entitled.

Tough shit, my heart fuckin pumps piss to all the rags who cannot accept that the league is all about money, never bothered them when they were buying camel lips and granny groper for 30 mil whilst we were signing players for a fraction of that.

I'm not arsed about becoming bigger than them, or that they have more trophies in their history than us. I'm over the blue moon that we are no longer in their shadow and winning trophies i thought we never would.

Fergie once quipped "not in my lifetime", and he was only refering to City becoming top dogs in Manchester. Many united fans boast we will never catch their trophy haul up, but Liverpool fans probably thought the same.
I doubt I'll be alive to see if we can catch them up, but maybe our younger fans be alive if it was to happen.

Meanwhile, I'll just continue to support the club i love and enjoy the great football on display. Every trophy we win is a bonus IMO. I'll let the rags worry about our continued rise to their dismal demise.

Mind the gap, it might get bigger; )

They Rags are really going to town on Sanchez as well, it has been a poor start to his career with the rags and he does look to have lost a yard of pace. The thought of him going into a steady decline over the next 4 years while getting paid £500k a week is starting to hit home.

Also what was the point of even buying Sanchez in the first place? he usually plays coming in from the left where they also have Martial and Rashford. Meanwhile on the other wing they have nobody other than an aging fullback. There is no method to their signings and certainly no planning.
The honeymoon period didn't last long on the Caf.
Here's some of the current opinions about the gem who recently snubbed us and our oil money to play for the shirt (and 500k p/w) in the other place.

I really hope this isn’t another Rooney situation where he stinks out the place for years since nobody will take him off our hands...

Shane88 said: ↑

His best ability is looking busy all the time because he's pumping his stumpy legs when he's running.

Pointless player.

Raees said: ↑

City dodged a bullet here

Kraftwerker said: ↑

Can’t stand him.

Shouldn’t be anywhere near the starting line up.

Mister_Stubbs said: ↑

Has all the makings of another high profile, big money flop.

iluvurmummy said: ↑

He's took us backwards since arriving.

MyOnlySolskjaer said: ↑

Managed to feck up our team balance since joining. That’s his only contribution.

Roboc7 said: ↑

Useless and has ruined balance of team.

KirkDuyt said: ↑

A worthy successor to Memphis as United’s no. 7

Jonty said: ↑

Doesn't fit (along with others). $ell him to China

el3mel said: ↑

Should be benched for the rest of the season. He fecked our balance and doesn't offer anything for us to play him.

Djemba-Djemba said: ↑

Utter shite again.

Should be dropped on Saturday. We're starting every game with 10 men.

Looks like he's going the way of Falcao and Di Maria and all the other high profile flops.

groovyalbert said: ↑

Playing with him is effectively playing with 10 players right now.

Schneckerl said: ↑

Any chance he got his fat contract and is pulling a Rooney?

RedRonaldo said: ↑

Base on his form and our form ever since he joined, he’s probably the worst big-name signing we ever had.

Goochy said: ↑

Utter delusion. I genuinely think in 4 years time he will be viewed as the worst transfer in the club’s history.

Phil Jones 79 said: ↑

No idea why we bought this c*nt to then not play Martial.

PepsiCola said: ↑

Will leave the club in summer 2019.

manunited1919 said: ↑

If a Chinese team were to come in for him we should sell him. He is becoming Rooney II, but at least Rooney had a history at our club before he was awful. He needs to be dropped.

PepsiCola said: ↑

It's not kneejerk if he's been poor for 90% of his United tenure thus far.

I had the severe misfortune to live near Crerand in Sale a number of years ago , and I can tell you that he is one thoroughly arrogant, unpleasant , opinionated, bullying twat who belittles anybody or everybody he comes in contact with, and not just on the subject of the Rags. One seriously odious twat.

I would have happily paid an hit man to remove the fucker from the face of the earth.

Listen to him on the radio and he is exactly that in real life.
I had similar reports from friends I know in Sale....a real shyster..

I've been singing along to Blondie all day
