CL Quarter Final Draw - Liverpool A Apr 4th - H Apr 10th

50/50 for me. We’re clearly better than them as the table suggests, with a trophy already won this season. Can’t deny that Liverpool are a perfect match to counter our style of football. Klopps building a good team and they will be dangerous next season, let’s just hope we don’t shit ourselves at Anfield.

League is in the bag . We have to prioritize uefa from here and out .
Fair comment, however the dippers are up in arms because they play Everton on the same day we play rags, they are saying we will recover better because our game v rags is five hours later, don’t understand what they are moaning about to be honest ;-)

That would be the other way round surely??

I know where you're coming from but beating our bitter Trafford rivals to win the league is not an opportunity that comes around every day. Whereas, whatever happens in the CL, we will get the chance all over again next year.
So you'd risk a treble just for the kudos of winning the league against the rags? That seems daft to me. The priority now is the Champions League, and we should do whatever it takes to ensure our squad is in prime condition for those games. We have 2 trophies in the bag, no matter what the derby result is.

FFS, it's the QF of the CL! What were you expecting, Preston North End?

2016/17 Semi-finalists: Monaco, Juve, Real, Atletico
2015/16 Semi-finalists: City, Real, Atletico, Bayern
2014/15 Semi-finalists: Juve, Real, Barca, Bayern
2013/14 Semi-finalists: Real, Bayern, Atletico, Chelsea

Of the past four years only 2014/15 were as strong. So historically this is a tough draw no matter how you look at it.

Around 4/11 to qualify. Bookies clearly don’t fancy Liverpool’s chances.

Over 2 legs we really should have no issues the way we’ve been this season.

I think we’ll win both legs personally.
6/4 for us to win the tie, dippers 7/4..PP

So are both our fixtures confirmed?

So we play Utd on Saturday at 17:30
Liverpool play Everton on Sunday at 14:15

Quite an advantage for us if that's true.

Time Raz stepped up against them and the UCL is a good competition for him so it's the right time for him to do so.

Pep will need to get his tactics bang on for this one.

Quite simply I think we need to change our tactics for this one altogether. Play a lot deeper and hit a lot more long balls. Sterling’s presence would be utterly counterproductive. It will turn the place into a bear pit and he will wilt like he always does there. Play him in the 2nd leg of course, but I wouldn’t even take him to Klanfield. The worst draw we could have got IMO, not because they’re better than us, but because the way we play is tailor made for the way they play.

Pep didn’t moan when they were getting their sun tans while we were playing almost every day .
Serial killer is shiting his pants and you could smell it ;)

Everton game being switched to Saturday at 12.30, that’s what I posted before about dippers moaning about the five hour advantage we have, but they have it wrong way round, I think ;-)

Surely their game will move. If it was us we would be quite rightly fuming having to play Sunday then Tuesday.

Their game is now 12.30 on Saturday and the scousers are moaning that we have more recovery time for our derby because we play at 5.30 than they do totally ignoring the fact that they have more recovery time for the second leg...

getting the excuses in early, no matter how bizarre they are.
they had a week off prior to the anfield clash and they know its a level playing field this time round. or should be!!!

This is the one I didn't want I'm glad the first leg is at anfield.. not too sure about the Derby I definitely want to beat Liverpool and progress.

The way this is being built up puts more pressure on them than us. They know they need to hit a hail Mary in anfeild.

They know they just got away with it last time.20 more minutes played and we win that game 5-4. That was without Silva and two gifted goals. Pep won't allow the same mistakes.

They can dismiss the 5-0 all they want but it was still 5-0 and football is football.
The poorsest performing rag side put them to the sword. We'll do the same.

Just had a look at RAWK. I can't believe the arrogance some of them are showing. Apparently, they will not just win the tie, but batter us. Laughable.
Batter without oil means nothing and we have the oil, allegedly ;)
We will deep fry them well done .

They do worry me they are a bogey team
