CL Quarter Final Draw - Liverpool A Apr 4th - H Apr 10th

It seems obvious from various media sources whose side most of them are on. Of course, our impartial and fine upstanding national broadcaster is happy to perpetuate this, showing a tabloid with diatribe from Klopp saying we fear them.

What logic do these fucking chimps use to suggest we fear a team we've already beaten 8-4 on aggregate and hold a 21 point lead over, plus outscoring by around 20 goals? Most Scousers would have been trembling in their Reebok tracksuits when they saw the draw on the TV in Wetherspoons.

Where is all the media talk of the shark team, the points gap, Pep's genius and the fact Liverpool couldn't even beat the worst rags side for decades?

Every time we go to Klanfield we gift them an early goal and give them encouragement , but if we score first they will have to change their game plan , and Klipperty does not have a plan B , they are a one trick pony team. It is vital we go ahead in this game , because if they get an early goal we will play into their hands with our style of play.

Second leg, Etihad rocking, start off with Don't Look Back in Anger, the Manchester anthem like they do with the Wolves song. Intimidate them from the start, ffs, they have a shit defence and the average Milner in midfield, we will batter them.

Media will drive me mad this next 3 weeks. Will be avoiding. Murphy virtually supporting them openly in tv last night.

Agreed.

I’d definitely start Bernardo at Anfield and then Raz at home.

I think the game plan might be to utilise a very pacy front 3 to punish them on the break. Sterling - Jesus - Sane. Bernardo might slow things down a tad, I think he's better at unpicking defences rather than getting behind them, might be a better option gor the home leg. I'm expecting Pep to go for a repeat of the Chelsea & united away games tactics.

Same when we play the rags each year but they haven't cottoned on yet the players aren't deaf and blind and there is no better team talk, let them carry on.

Intimidate them with “Don’t Look Back In Anger”? Haha, good one

The big question here is which games does kompany play. He'll want to play them all but I doubt he will

Its a difficult one. He's most suited to playing against Lukaku, whereas Liverpool might expose the lack of pace in a Kompany - Otamendi partnership. Given his injury problems it might be better to play him just in the Everton & united games. But would Pep play Stones or Laporte against Liverpool? Stones in his early season pre injury form would be a no brainer against Liverpool for me. But he had a poor game there in January and hasn't been the same player since returning from injury. Laporte would also be a gamble at this stage in his City career.

I think Pep will start him against Everton and then assess his fitness before each of the next three games. But I dont think he should play all three games.

Didn't mean that but obviously read like it, meant just get stuck in, on the front foot from the start, fans making loads of noise and sticking it too them .Look back in Anger as a warm up .
I was only pulling your leg mate

I cant wait for this. European cauldron at Klanfield my ass. ITreat it like we did the rags away, when we simpled them. I hope we get the most solid 0-0 draw ever seen, Juventus defending style, and then take the giddy Scouse cult worshipping charlatans to the cleaners at our place. And I hope we make minimal fuss about it and Pep makes it like the most routine game of football we have ever played.

Should be a competitive tie, Klopp has been an achilles heel compared to every other opponent Pep has faced off in the past. Moreover the German is supposed to be better at cup ties than managing a season long campaign so this will be yet another challenge Guardiola will be eager to overcome. Looking forward to it, still have no doubt City will be in the Semifinals

DO NOT play Sterling at Candlefield. If we do, we might as well just go out with 10.
He turns into an 8 year old boy with a touch like a clown. He cannot shake off the idiocy booing the victims save for him every time he visits. Obviously they know it upsets him, so they’ll do it even more.
Save him for the home game.

Posted on the how many poihts thread but relevant here

If swansea beat the rags
Then we beat everton
we win the league by proxy on sunday if chelsea beat spurs I think

Only thinking if that happened going into qtrs as champions would surely be a boost rather than worrying about having to do the league title win between legs.

Still stuff the rags though.

This. Bernardo took Robertson to the cleaners in 15 mins he was on. Sterling's head just isnt right at Klanfield.
