CL Quarter Final Draw - Liverpool A Apr 4th - H Apr 10th

I went to the away Celtic match last season in the 'home' end. I kept my mouth shut and had no problems. I do admit to wearing a green and white Hibernian scarf to blend in with the locals. I am sure that there were plenty more City fans who did much the same. The Etihad leg saw the City end crawling with 'Soap dodgers' but that was partially down to it being a 'dead rubber'.

Hibs / Celtic ... same/same :-)

How many seats do you reckon are still left?

More than there were yesterday morning because blocks 303 and 304 which were originally supposed to be reserved for UEFA are not now required by them and have gone on sale. I'd guess perhaps 6000-7000 left in the whole ground. Sales have slowed down more than I expected but there's still 18 days before the match and some fans will probably be just holding out until they're in a better financial position before buying. It'll sell out easy enough IMO

I want 5 tickets for the home game but will have to wait till they come on open sale as im not in cup scheme or have a season ticket.

Anyone know what date they come on Gen Sale?

They won't be going on general sale even if tickets remain so as to avoid Liverpool fans snapping them up. You need to be an existing Cityzen member. I suppose it's possible that they might remove the membership criteria as long as you have a previous purchase history though

SS3 seems to be selling this morning, and half of 303, 304 have gone my guess would be more 4-5000, just a rough guess though.

I suspect some will be waiting until they know the result of the 1st leg - glory hunters!
The prices are steep for City fans mid week. After all it's only Liverpool not Barcelona.

Thats a bit of a bugger. I buy for 5 of us and none of us are Cityzens. We just wait till they come on Gen Sale usually and get them. Go to all cup games and never usually have any issues getting 5 together. Looks like we might have to miss out then if it wont go on Gen Sale.

Yes, we have years of purchase history.

Now saying if you purchased a Basle ticket you can now purchase for the LIverpool game.

Well the post above is now saying if you bought a Basel ticket you can buy for this game so maybe that helps? I think that's a fair way of doing it because it's rewarding fans who aren't necessarily season ticket holders/members but have supported us in the competition already this season. Whereas there will be some ST holders who haven't attended a single CL game prior to this one. I think Liverpool do this for CL home games in that non-season ticket holders who have attended previous CL games get priority over season ticket holders who haven't.

It helps a bit but they're only selling 1 ticket per person.

All those who went to the dreaded Napoli deserve a final ticket should we get there, just kidding :-D

Incidentally I see the two final clubs will only get 17,000 tickets each in a stadium that holds 63,000. Admittedly I got the following from Wikipedia so it may not be 100% accurate.

With a stadium capacity of 63,000 for the final, a total amount of 40,700 tickets are available to fans and the general public, with the two finalist teams receiving 17,000 tickets each and with 6,700 tickets being available for sale to fans worldwide via UEFA.com from 15 to 22 March 2018 in four price categories: €450, €320, €160, and €70. The remaining tickets are allocated to the local organising committee, UEFA and national associations, commercial partners and broadcasters, and to serve the corporate hospitality programme.

To be honest, if we get to the final I do think there should be a provision not only for home CL games attended but also away CL games. I don't think it's fair for, say, a ST holder who hasn't attended a single home or away CL game to get priority over a non-ST holder who has. That said, with an allocation of only 17000 it would probably sell out to ST holders on the cup scheme

It probably would sell out to them but its just before the summer, people have holidays booked up. It's a fair trek to Kiev and an expensive one at that.

Everyday I google man city atleast 4-5 times an hour and ever since the draw it is all about dippers this dipper that same old media wank fest .
Are dippers playing them self or what ?

All we here is about the atmosphere.

Didn’t know the atmosphere will play both legs instead of Liverpool.

They know they are inferior and are very afraid so are trying to scare our players by hyping up this mythical atmosphere as if our players never played an away game at a difficult ground.

We are playing a cult not a football club.
