meant that we were to go on, and win our last 8 league games, and achieve a record breaking 105 points, record wins, record goals scored, record goal difference, record away wins, and in the process Eddie picked up the golden gloves, and Sergio the golden boot, would you take it?

Those records, should we achieve them , would last for ever, and, notwithstanding, that even if we get past Liverpool, we are still not guaranteed anything in the Champions League, i personally would.

Definitely not. The league is done and dusted, barring some Devon Loch-style collapse. We should be focussing on putting in a big ("massive", even!) effort into the CL.

To take this a little further, if you had the choice of winning the league with a record number of points and goals or ric promised to ban all these pointless ‘what you would choose’ threads as you have no influence on them at all, what would you choose?

No. It's a team sport, individual awards, and for that matter the records you quoted, mean nothing apart from to players who are in it for themselves, such as Ronaldo.

Record number of points, I find the convoluted thought patterns behind these threads interesting.

no

win the league
Champs league semi at minimmum.

wouldn't mind the higest winning point margin between 1st and 2nd
but record points are last on the list of priorities.

beating liverpool in the semi is more important that anything for me. Would be nice to go on and win the CL after that, but if Liverpool win the CL this year the british media will forget whatever City achieve and it will be a year remembered for Liverpool.

That is a good point. It would sadly take the gloss of what we have achieved.
