Your transformation into Liverpool is almost complete mate. ;-)
Haha! Tbh I’m done with Jose and after 26 years of Fergie am getting used to managerial upheaval. It’s his last chance next season if he fails then I’ll be excited to move on with another manager.

The work Pep has done is exceptional am not going to hide from that but I expect Mourinho to male a better fist of it next season. It’s interesting because he usually burns out in his third season so we’ll see what happens. He’s at a crossroads on his career.

Well I'd give you 10/10 for loyalty.
0/10 for judgement.

The family guy would be perfect

I think we will attract our own brand of only seen success fans but I have to say it is a great time for me after more years than I care to remember hoping for City to deserve the loyal fanbase they had.

I don’t really see thier ‘oh well, we are second in the league’ argument, at all

I don’t think Rangers ever has that outlook when behind Celtic or Barca when behind Real Madrid - United are not a victim of circumstances, they are 16 points behind because they have rarely done the business when it mattered

16 points. They will say they are second to a great side but it’s 16 points, they’d be second behind any would-be champion. Obviously not by 16, but second nonetheless

I can’t see them getting more points than us next season, either. They need a whole new defence and a couple of midfielders. All this whist the WC is going on, the transfer window is shorter and Mourinho warming up for his wibble-wibble final act before receiving a nice pay-off round November/December time

Spineless bastards. In the face of adversity down tools and leg it. You need to go through the pain to enjoy the glory. A few years in the wilderness would give them some grounding and humility.

Nah. They're more likely to support another team at the top, pray it won't be us wouldn't want self-entitlement to rub on the new fans who may be able to appreciate what City is doing.

They may also pick up another sport like cricket, nba, F1 or whatever that's trendy for the weekend.

Or they'll just call it a day and say football is a waste of time, a 'wants to spend more time with the family' kind of calling.

I doubt a majority of their millions of fans will stick with their club if they ever get relegated. I bet several years mid table they won't even bother to look at the scores, Nevermind the football.

Soon to be 19 points behind....

Old Trafford was half empty towards the end of the 80s and this was when they were chucking money round left right and centre on Ince, Webb and Pallister. They will be back to the fan base of Salford, Moston and Wythenshaw.

If you were a kid outside Manchester and didn’t have an allegiance to your local side these days, would you pick United to follow? Dangerous times for them as the merchandise money will slowly start to shrink with all the other endorsements, they have to do something to get back to the top as their last knee jerk reaction to what we are doing has been an expensive mistake.

I really struggle to understand the strategy at the swamp at the moment, as unlikely many on here I don't believe they are as poor as people think. The problem they have had is with their piss poor recruitment policy. They are crying out for a right hand side,

For me this should have been the core of the team to build around.

---------------------De Gea----------------------
??????? --------Bailey-------Smalling------Shaw
----------------------Matic------------------------
----------Mata-----------------Pogba------------
???????-------------Rashford-------------Martial

De gay will be gone in summer.
Shaw is 7 stone over weight.
Smalling is terrible.
Bailey not bad .
Matic not mobile enough.
Mata shit david silva.
Pogbad absolutely bone fucking idle.
Rashford massively over ratted.
Whatshisname average done fuck all for what he cost though.
If thwre going to build a team around that carry on.

The rags' basic problem is that, unlike City, they have no vision for the future and no plan for the present. This goes back to having no succession planning for GPC's retirement 5 years ago. Whereas City buy players to fit into Pep's tactical palns and style of play Woodwood and Maureen just pick up players who they think have a greater commercial appeal with shirt sales and twitter followers. Then they just shoehorn them into the side with no tactical plan whatsoever. The latest example is squeezing Sanchez into the left wing position and displacing Martial from his natural position to the right. Totally fucking clueless the lot of them.

Where is the 500k per week world class player ?

Exactly, their policy is fucked. They had no requirement for him, I would argue the same with Lukaku.

In fact there is a real argument that they should have saved the money from Pogba, Lukaku and Sanchez and really addressed their weaknesses.

I agree looking at it from our point of view but I was looking at it from e perspective of starting this season.
DeGea - I think he will stay for another year at least.
Shaw - Would not have been overweight if he had been played regularly and coached right.
Smalling - Ok maybe replace with Lindelof.
Matic - He is really the only option they have to play that holding role, Maybe his McTominey guy could take over.
Mata - Yep not on Silva's level but he is the closest thing they have to Silva.
Pogba - 100% agree and I don't know why they ever paid what they did for him.
Rashford - Yep over rated but I still think there is a good player in there - I would love to see what Pep would have done to his game.
Martial - as per Rashford, also should have been played on a more regular basis.

Put it this way, for what they spent on Lukaku and Sanchez they could have bought Bernardo and Walker to fix their right side problem.

I would add that the biggest problem they have in my opinion is Pogba, he is a player that they would need to build a team around and as it stands they would need at least 4 new players with specific skill sets to get the best from him.
