What was that youth nonsense I wish Walter would have pointed out the fact City's academy did used to have many regular first team starters when we were shite but the fact we've had to make up 40 years in the last 10 years has meant we can't play too many kids we have to go with experience.

Next few years that'll change as we become established at the top table.

There seems to be a theme when comparing City v Rags, Pep v Peg & it’s one continual fcking contradiction.

Tbf they were playing well. But even playing well they were still losing. What really stands out for me is the mentally of theLiverpool team after this as they then collapsed and we controlled the game and beat them easily. Compare that with our own performance a couple of weeks previously against Everton were even with ten men and losing we played very well and were unlucky not to win.

Spot on and there is no better example of this than Pep's time at Barca.

The general consensus is that he inherited an all conquering side with the best players in the world. No mention of the fact that he took over at Barca when they had finished 18 points behind Madrid and behind Villarreal.

The same is happening here. The narrative is already being set that Pep took over a vastly superior side to United. That's despite both sides finishing level on points before Pep and Jose's arrival,with City having an aging squad and the likes of Otamendi and Sterling being ridiculed in all quarters.

It's funny how's this narrative wasn't apparent at the start of the season when the likes of Custos et al all backed United to win the PL.
