An understandable viewpoint given the circumstances.

I’m just glad Pep, Klopp and many others see it differently. That it was a minority of us, and not representative of Liverpool as a whole at all.
Club needs to work together with Manchester City and authorities to deal out the correct punishment. Which from the club statement sounds like they are more than willing to do.

Im thinking lifetime bans would be appropriate
.

And I am thinking ban your fans from our stadium next week.
Yet again your fans have fans have shown they are unable to behave. I would not mind but Liverpool fans more than anyone should know about how things can go wrong at football matches.

Great idea but UEFA won’t even have noticed what happened by next week let alone meated out some pointless punishment!

With all due respect, the club's statement sounds very hollow and the apology last night stank to high heaven.
I'm fully aware you can't tar everyone in Liverpool with the one brush, but make no mistake LFC are complicit in the events of last night.
Security outside the ground is their responsibility along with Merseyside Police.
We were shite and if one thing had anything to do with the other, well who knows.
But the orchestrated supposed atmosphere building ambush that we all knew was going to happen, was avoidable. It should have no place in this day and age unless you want to drag football back a few decades.

Liverpool's apology could be paraphrased as, ' we did everything we could, to make it look like we were doing everything we could to avoid such scenes.'

Nothing against you personally or Liverpool FC in general, but you really do earn your reputation collectively.

love it when they say it was just a small minority of liverpool fan hahahaha looked 3 or 4 thousand to me and if they could have got more in the street then you bet the minority of the rest of liverpool fans would have done so shocking and planned to a tee. liverpool football club did invite the trouble last night and planned it weeks ago even a couple of hours before the game and the change of coach route was given out to fans by somebody from the club again all planned to a tee

they have done this sort of thing before and hide behind the small minority of liverpool fans when coming out in interviews. well we are not taking that shit anymore from liverpool and the line been truly crossed and if uefa don't come down hard on liverpool today or by weekend then the city fans are well in there rights to give liverpool a welcome to the coach of liverpool and if anybody want to any help in planning a smash up the coach with bottles just let me know

Come down hard ? Are you having a laugh , no chance , they have been charged and it’s due to be heard at the end of May after the competition has finished !!

I can see why United dislike Liverpool so much.

Sure United will always be our local rivals but for sheer annoyance value Liverpool are worse. I think it's the sense of entitlement and the "look at us" attitude

Never thought I'd say it but if United are playing Liverpool in the future and the result doesn't affect us I'd want United to win.

A club stuck in the 80s where their trophies are.

Yes. I said so myself earlier on some thread.

Give me a United fan over a Liverpool fan any day if the week.

With United fans you get the arrogance, but at least it’s just banter at the end of the day.

With Liverpool you have the whole delusional cult approach.

Yep. I've been saying to my son for the last few years that for me they are on a par with united but this last 2 weeks has seen the shift in hatred completed. 100% I would rather united beat Liverpool if they played each other. If you'd asked me 5 years' ago, I would have said it was literally impossible that I could hate any club more than united.

When we were both in for the title a few years ago, we played Liverpool and their fans cheered when Yaya picked up an injury, their fans are scum. I've never seen any team, including United, cheer at a player getting injured. Their fans would sell their own mothers for a trophy, they're a cult not a football team.

Yep, I hate the dippers. More than the rags. At least the rags have the humility to keep quiet during the bad times.

These neanderthals still act like it's still 1975 and talk about the dark ages.

I might get some criticism for this but I don’t find United nearly anywhere near as detestable as they were under Ferguson. I despise everything about Mourinho but it’s hard to hate United with quite such a passion when they are playing boring football and posing little title threat.

Whilst it’s easy to like Klopp, I have always rooted for the opposing team against Liverpool. Their fans are delusional and the entire club reeks of arrogance and entitlement.

Delusional cult that are lacking in respect for anyone combined with a weird sense of self entitlement.

Hopefully those involved are given lifetime bans.
Disgusting behaviour, and then they get all offended when they get get called bin dippers etc?

Twats. Absolute twats. Takes the shine off an otherwise fantastic night at Anfield.

I have never had a go at an opposing fan on this forum (and you can go free and check my post history) but that just comes across as completely disingenuous...you and the rest of the fans knew it was going to happen, its happened before. It was premeditated and deliberate. Your clubs apology means nothing and is completely disingenuous as is everything else that comes out of your club and your fans (plus your pundits in the media)....they club knew it was going to happen and did nothing to stop it....because they wanted it to happen....your point of view after the fact is worth exactly nothing as will whatever sanctions UEFA put on your club.

Merseyside Police - appealing for camera phone footage of the bus attack - I wonder how many people will come forward with that - None!

What you have done is created a very dangerous situation as unfortunately every club has its dickhead element - there will be trouble at next weeks game...it wont be predictable policeable and preventable as the bus attack was as it will happen all over the place and be random groups - but when someone gets hurt in the return fixture I wonder who will be quickest to point the finger of blame.....!?!

This however wasn't a small element of your fan base. It is typical of your fan base.it wasn't one or two isolated idiots...its was hundreds of them and it was planned and sanctioned by the club by the fact they did nothing to prevent/stop it. Your club has demanded the respect of every other club for incidents in the past and everyone (including utd fans) have done that, yet your fan base takes everything and gives nothing back. Its inherent within people from your area. Self centred and always the victim - but never ever responsible. You and your club are the epitome of the self entitlement that has gripped this country....want it all but give nothing back.

I genuinely hope next week goes off trouble free regardless of the result but I wont be surprised if it happens. I want to see a good football match and you deserved to win last night as we were awful in the first half and you have a great team and to play against you anyone has to be at their very best to beat you.....and we clearly weren't. A mixture of individual errors, great pressing from your players and a tactical error by Pep....thats what i want to talk about.....

However the actions of your fans last night and in the past, the actions of your club past and present make you lot easily the most hatable bunch of deceitful and insidious people ever.
