That's no different to how I feel, it wouldn't be the end of the world if we didn't win, because we have other chances. But winning today is fucking huge.

To be 'flat' & not bothered about beating the rags, in a situation like this, defeats the whole point of watching the earlier part of the season. This is what it has all been about. And all the shite of relegations & Swales & everything. Enjoying times like this.

If we win the title today, I wouldn't swap this season for two Champions Leagues, let alone one measly game v the scouse scum.

Do you really think i can be arsed going through a dozen press conferences to prove my point , he has mentioned it , but he might be throwing PEG a curve ball which would be funny as f*ck when PEG sees the team sheet , really hope we go full strength and rip them to pieces , then the players can put a bit of Oasis on in the dressing room to annoy them even more :)

Well I did a quick google search and I can find no reference to it. But I agree about the ripping them to pieces bit.
 
I just don't get all this resting players, our season is effectively two games now, the chance for glory today and a salvage job Tuesday. If ever there was a time for putting out the strongest team over two games it's now, get the Prem over and done with today there are enough Prem games left to rest players if we so wish.
 
Maureen’s had all week to study and ponder. I think he’ll set up to hit us relatively early on the break and hope we will then toil. We have the better players so his best hopes are that morale is fragile, that we have one eye on Tuesday and that we won’t be 100% up for a scrap. A weakened side would just give him and his goons encouragement.

Come on you Blues. Smash the cnuts! All that matters today is today.
 
Play the full team. If we win, the players will get a boost for Tuesday and nobody will be feeling tired.

Those are my thoughts as well. Weakened team, poorish performance, and a defeat would only dent tthe confidence. Beat this shower, win the league,sand like you say, a huge confidence boost for the Dippers game.

I completely agree.

All this bluster about the return match with the Scousers is just that, realistically we blew the tie on Wednesday - do not repeat that error today.
 
I hope none of the bloody wet blankets in here won't be at the match. We need an atmosphere fitting for the occasion, not a meh atmosphere.

Even Kompany has just said the title can wait. Pep has said we have 6 more chances after this multiple times. We could go full strength today and still draw/lose. All signs point to a full scale rotation and try to gain as much as an advantage possible for Tuesday.

As pissed off as I still am about Wed night, are people buying into this massive rotation notion for today in an attempt to assist our chances on Tuesday? Best team today for this one in a lifetime opportunity please, then see where we're up to.
 
Today has shown me nothing will ever come close to QPR game
It’s not just a game to win the league, it’s not just a derby, ITS BOTH and I’m not even as anxious as Wednesday night or the derby in December
More thinking about Tuesday and hoping we win that one more
