How on earth does losing on saturday when having a chance to clinch the title in the most satisfying way imaginable inspire the players for Tuesday?
What will inspire them and give them a huge adrenalin shot for tuesdsy and give the fans attending on tuesday a massive boost is a performance and result to crown our wonderful domestic campaign. As Vinny said its a unique opportunity and for a dose of payback for all those years of having to put up with those *unts winning everything. Personally it would satisfy me no end to see purple nose squirm sitting there as we secured the title just for that patronising 'noisy neigjbour' comment alone. He'll certainly hear some noise when the final whistle goes and 11 startled rats realise whats just happened.
Dr. Jacorby should seek out medical assistance he has clearly lost it!!!

Can’t see Pep resting anyone. What the hell would losing tomorrow then possibly going out of the champions league on Tuesday do for the morale of everyone connected to the club?

Win tomorrow, preferably with a top performance and that’ll set us right up for a real go at Liverpool on Tuesday.

If we don’t manage to overcome the
3-0 deficit and go out, so be it. Being premier league champions for the third time in seven seasons will soften that blow. Something Liverpool haven’t achieved in donkeys years and a sharp reminder to the rags that we’re light years ahead of them.

Sadly guys & gals, Mr. Guardiola takes his orders from Abu Dhabi, where the importance of a local Derby is secondary to respectability in the Champions League. I therefore and with great sadness predict wholesale changes for Saturday leading to Mourinho going on the offensive. With their attacking potential no longer restrained, I predict a comfortable win for the Rags but at least we will win the title later on. Check out the odds on a 1-3 Derby defeat and fill your boots.

Lay off sniffing petrol son.

There will be a few changes but the first eleven won't have the likes of Foden or Diaz in the starting lineup FFS.

Stones for VK maybe , Delph for Laporte ( Oti is an ox and loves playing against Manure ) , Sterling for Gundy and maybe Bernado for DS.

We lose little with those changes in fact it might be a stronger lineup than Wednesday.

The rags might have a potent strike force as Liverpool have, but they don't have the ability to press like Liverpool did. And it was that pressing that was our undoing; we got flustered, panicked and that led to the numerous mistakes and wrecking of our normal controlled passing game.

We'll be find against a vastly inferior rag side... PROVIDED we play our A team and don't rest key players with half an eye on Tuesday.

Let's get the league won in style and THEN start thinking about Tuesday.

There is only one way to gain momentum with players and fans, and that is by beating United tomorrow. NOT playing the best 11 seriously lowers our chances beating them. And I'm sure the fans won't be a 100% up for it tomorrow if they find out Pep fields a weakened side. If we don't win it and not even being close winning it, it'll reflect on the much needed atmosphere on Tuesday.

I simply can't believe Pep would field a weakened side tomorrow. If he doesn't and the players can shrug off last Wednesdays' result, we can be in for a treat. Let's prove both our games at Anfield were simply due to an off day. There is still a change to win the title vs United and knock Liverpool out of the CL a few days later. It's time, now more than ever!

I agree. I’d say sterling and Delph coming in makes us stronger. Hoping Aguero is fit too.

David Silva should play in my opinion and I really, really hope Pep resists the urge to rest either him or KDB.

I can see two possible scenarios:

1. We capitulate after tonight's awful performance and get beat in the derby

2. We smash them 6-0 and then do the same on Tuesday.

Or the many more scenarios that will play out.

If Manure had something riding on the game I would be more confident of a decent win but the fact the title is over Manure might actually play an ehtertaining brand of football and get lucky.

Manure are preparing for the big semi v Spurs and that is their whole focus from now on as even they cannot muck up a top four finish from here on in.

There’s zero chance of Matic, Fellaini, Mata, Lukaku, Rashford or Pogba even attempting to close us down in the that Liverpool did.

Only lingard and Sanchez who I’d think would try but would soon give up once they realise that their chasing shadows.

They’ll come for a 0-0.
