I originally doubted the player selection but to be fair to Pep he had it spot on first half. We just needed to take out chances. As soon as half time happened it seemed like the whole team was only thinking about Tuesday. One day he will learn how to see a game out hopefully.

Saw this too. The players thought the trophy was in the bag and their heads were on Tuesday. I hope this is cause for them to redeem themselves and turn around that goal deficit in 2nd leg.

Judging from the chances we had first half, we are capable. I was pessimistic of the 2nd leg before this game, but regardless of the loss, I believe we have what it takes.

Shame we lost the derby, but we can always get back at them next season. And this game might just singlehandedly keep mourinho there for a few more years.

What pisses me off is how quickly we go to shit after letting in a goal. We let one goal in fair enough. But then we instantly collapse like relegation fodder and let another in 2 minutes later. It's been the same pattern in both losses against Liverpool too. Our inability to regroup quickly after letting in a goal is incredible.

Keep it civil. He is not responsible for Sterling missing sitters, and defense crumbling everytime there is a ball in our penalty box.

But he was responsible for putting out a side with no striker in a game that really mattered to Blues. Great manager but very self-centred.

At half time in the pre match thread I said I was still nervous........put it down to my Typical City syndrome.........
but ffs........we just collapsed....thinking the game was won..........The ref. was so poor - he just lost it and booked---was it 6 City players.?

Unfair in my opinion the defence let in 3 goals not Sterling. Not saying he shouldn't have scored but the defence need to look at themselves as well.

Shocking, truly shocking 2nd half collapse. I'd like to know, Ederson goes walkabouts all over the pitch during the game then stays on his line for every one of their goals where if he'd come out he could have saved 1 or 2 of them, been sub-standard the last few weeks....can anyone remember the last save he made?
Said to my lad after 50 minutes, we've started this 2nd half very casually, pulling out of 50/50s all over the pitch, casual passing and we just handed it to them on a fecking plate.
Saw the very worst of Sterling this evening and the reason why he will never be a truly world class player, bottled it three times.
Seriously, how did we lose that...utterly dire 2nd half all over the pitch again, David Silva anonymous that 2nd half like he was on Wednesday.
Juvenile tactics 2nd half and half-arsed showing got what it deserved, are we totally incapable of staying calm when we lose a goal in a big match without collapsing like a team of under 15's?

Those acting like two penalties don't matter, are nothing short of braindead! Those were massive decisions that went against us, Young should have been sent off too. A penalty is still a penalty regardless of how many chances we created... you're as bad as the bent refs some of you lot, no wonder they rob us of decisions time after time... you're practically bending over for it with your pants down for it begging for more with that attitude.

It's like some believe we're that good that we should expect to have to play against the ref... well fuck that idea right off, it's not on!
