United (H) Post Match Thread

Chances missed to Kill them 1st half, Poor Refereeing, and a fatal 15 mins off “Switch Off” resulted in an embarrassing end result..
But how good was the Atmosphere in the First Half when we had them on the Ropes..How Wild was it when our Fantastic Captain set us off..? But he was forced to attempt to raise us in the 2nd half as Fans coz everyone’s arses fell out and we went quiet...
We are not gonna push the Boys over the line on Tuesday night if the moaning fools in the crowd allow the Atmosphere to drop...
Come on Blues! Find your Voices! And recognise we are now the Best City side we have ever seen...yet The Team Needs US to scream in support of them for the full 93+ mins!!!
Just saying...

People need to chill the fuck out, nobody want to lose a derby but it happens. Sure 99% of the people on here would have played our best players but the side Pep picked was more than good enough to win today. At half time nobody was complaining, at the end of the day we missed 3 gilt edged chances in the first half, we hit the woodwork twice, were denied a stone wall penalty ( and a sending off ) and the Young handball could quite easily have been given.

These things happen, we just need to move on to the next game and enjoy the ride.

I'm still trying to work out how we managed to monumentally throw that away but I keep coming to the same conclusion........ATKINSON IS A FUCKING ****

The same understrength side that bossed the first 45 and should have been 5 or 6 up at half time ?

we didnt boss the first 45 mins.....we bossed about 30 mins of it.....we should have had 5 in that time granted.....however the start of the first half was even with neither team particularly threatening

I'd definitely change the rule that if it hits your hand in the penalty area it's a penalty. Who fucking doesn't love 8-6 games of football. I am not being sarcastic.

I think too many penalties were given for crosses or shots that hit defenders from close range. Then it was when arms were away from the side but that doesn’t work either but it’s better than not giving any. The only proven intentional handball you see is if a player does it on the goal line.

But we didn’t win it.. that’s like arguing that a pub team are world beaters cos they had a good 5 minutes. They were under strength and didn’t close the deal
Not at all. It shows there was nothing wrong with the starting line up. He should have changed it though. A wrong stating line up doesnt go in at half time 2-0 up and create enough chances to be 5 or 6 up.

Listen Pep my sweet.

We dont give a fuck about europe. Wewant the title. We want the fa cup.
The sooner you realise that the better.

Its fucking united ffs.

He just doesn't seem to get our fan base does he? Yes he is probably a great manager but we have a fan base that needs to beat the rags and he doesn't get it. Like the season he played a weakened team against them in a cup match. I'm not going to say he isn't good but he needs to look at our history, we are not all thinking that the be all and end all is to win in Europe, yes we do want to win but beating the rags is just as important so put your best side out, after all the ones sitting on the bench that he eventually brought on, could have got us a great lead and then he could close it down, take them off and rest them for Tuesday> Just my humble opinion.

Couldn't believe how shite the rags were in the first half but it's a derby ffs, it was obvious they were going to come out fighting second half.
We threw it away and made their season.

Just about sums it all up nicely.

This team has bottled it. Poor decisions from the ref only account for so much. We bottled it Wed(mitigating circumstances I agree) and we done it in that 2nd half. The players had the chance to make history and fucked it. To be 2 up and throw that away is fucking criminal. Weak mentality has reared its head and it stinks. The title will make up for it but that was shite.

Tiny margins make all the difference, the last two games we have been denied two stone wall penalties, against the dippers they scored a goal that was off side, we were denied a goal hat was proved to be onside.

We have had zero luck in the last 2 games, hopefully it turns in our favour on Tuesday.

I think you have just more or less agreed with me.

Disappointment is an understatement. We seem to have lost our consistency and momentum for a certain period of the match.
As with other opinions on here I am concerned that we will be unable overturn the deficit on Tuesday and could struggle against an in form Spurs next weekend.
Having said that we are City and we could win both.

Biggest "Typical City" of all time. Should have been 4 up at half time. Fernandinho outnumbered again at the start of the second half. What was Gundogan doing????

that team should have beat the Rags full fucking stop.how the fuck we folded again is unreal.again we battered them in the first half and got made to look like mugs second half again. why for fuck sake.yes we win the league but fuck off just fuck off
