It would be bloody typical (City) to beat Spurs, and then the rags lose to West Brom, so that we don’t win the title by our own efforts.

I would go with the same formation that Pep started with against that shower of twats last night.

Ederson

Walker
Kompany
Laporte

Gündoğan
de Bruyne
D. Silva

Sterling
Sané

Jesus
Agüero

I think you might be in a small minority there mate. We still have to cross the line and dont you think Pep/Players will want to secure as many records as they can. If any player is thinking of the WC now before winning the league, Pep should give them an early season end

Nobody is ever going to admit to it as it sounds unprofessional but the world cup will be in the minds of many of our players now. Look at when jesus got Injured in January, his first thought was am I going to miss the world cup, I'm not saying we will down tools and not give a fuck but I think we will subconsciously lose that extra 1%. We need just two wins maximum, Spurs is the last tough game of the season with 5 games against relegation battlers after that and ghe players are well aware of it. 4 defeats on the bounce will be hard to take and will make for a horrible journey back on Saturday night so I obviously hope I'm very wrong and we smash them and win the title against Swansea.

Wrong way round - work like hell next 2 games and hopefully it’s won and then they can relax a bit.

I haven't posted here in long time as I am not a social media person but came here to say that I am desperate for us to twat these glorified Southampton. I live in India and had to take unbearable shit from rag and dipper supporters in last week. The derby especially was extremely humiliating. In a pub with mates, I was gloating them at HT, rags were lost for words and in 2nd half I went for piss, still laughing and it went tits up. At full-time I just apologised for my gloating and asked them to shut up. It was very embarrassing, I felt pathetic. Win vs Spuds and I will tell those twats again who real champions are.
Shouldn't have gone for that piss ;)

I am sure that won't won't happen unfortunately much more likely we go against Swansea with a 7 point buffer but it would be a nice way to win the title and I disagree if we do win the title its due to our efforts pure and simple.

Not feeling one bit positive about this. It's so difficult to play top teams one after the other. Atleast in the first half of the season, the Top 6 games were separated well by the fixture computer.

Spurs may have one eye on the fa cup semi and don't have much to play for in the league seeing top 4 go right to the group stage. Need a win badly.

Semi is a week later, so I doubt that. Maybe, they will rest players in the midweek game. Pochettino must be smelling blood after our results in the week.

As much as Otamendi has been a rock this season he has slipped up a few times recently and goals have resulted - time to give him a break.

Spurs is far from the last stern test - "Relegation battlers" will provide a much sterner test than you think.

Bernie was great last night, let’s give Dav a rest and stick him in the middle.

Play delph in mid as long as Pep tells him he is not to get himself sent off. Zinchenko on the left

Drop ota and play stones with Laporte

Sane, Sterling & Sergio up front.

I’d be interested to see how that team worked out. Throw Jesus in instead of Aguero and the average age might be about 24!! Switch Delph for KDB and bring Foden in, and it slides down to about 23.

The only thing we appear to be missing is some defensive steel. 90% of the time, we get by without it or simply overrun rivals by scoring more goals than they can. However, when we are up against it, we seem to have no defensive shape.

I watched the Juve-Madrid game today and Juve clearly came to attack, yet they were buttoned up at the back most of the game, because they knew when it was time for each job, and every man knew his part in the performance.

I have absolutely loved the quality and speed of football, we have played this season adngoing forward, there is nobody with the possible exception of Liverpool who can get anywhere near to our attacking prowess. However, even though the statistics might show that we are defensively sound, the possession stats are masking a weak underbelly that knowledgeable football people have sussed. Individually, the defenders we have are exceptional footballers. The problem is that when we are defending against both the counter and an organized attack, we always seem to lack shape and purpose.

Free kicks and the high line, corner kicks and the zonal marking, and the fast counter not only ALL make us look weak and disorganized, but everyone knows we are one of the smallest teams in the League and even some of the bigger players appear unwilling to mess up their shave-styled hair and simply yank and push the opponents.

Spurs at Wembley are a bad opponent at a bad time for us. If we come away with any points, it will be a good day, even though no one seriously expects WBA to do us any favors, and Utd might not lose another League game all season given their run in from here! Feel like we will win the League away at WHU and hopefully get to celebrate it at home to Huddersfield. If not, then there may be a lot riding in that Huddersfield game for both the League and the TV audience!

FFS, surely we can’t make it to the Brighton game or, God forbid, Soton without the trophy in the cabinet and the likes of Muric, Tosin, Diaz and Foden getting 90 minutes for a change??? Four in a row would give the media their “Pep in freefall” and “City in crisis” headlines, and the talking heads would be all a twitter! Let’s not, eh?!

Just focus on the 100 points now.

At least then we will always be remembered as the 100 point team.

Win this and I think we get the 100 points and will beat Chelsea’s goal tally.
Lose and we can't get 100 pts. Draw and it's in the last chance saloon.

Focus on getting to 89 points as soon as possible.

Wolves have done it methodically and now can't lose the title with a win or in reality a draw on Sunday so we can take a leaf out of their book.

Clean sheets are the mane of the game now we haven't kept one for four games and I expect at least three in our remaining 6 games.
