Bernie was great last night, let’s give Dav a rest and stick him in the middle.
Play delph in mid as long as Pep tells him he is not to get himself sent off. Zinchenko on the left
Drop ota and play stones with Laporte
Sane, Sterling & Sergio up front.

I’d be interested to see how that team worked out. Throw Jesus in instead of Aguero and the average age might be about 24!! Switch Delph for KDB and bring Foden in, and it slides down to about 23.
The only thing we appear to be missing is some defensive steel. 90% of the time, we get by without it or simply overrun rivals by scoring more goals than they can. However, when we are up against it, we seem to have no defensive shape.
I watched the Juve-Madrid game today and Juve clearly came to attack, yet they were buttoned up at the back most of the game, because they knew when it was time for each job, and every man knew his part in the performance.
I have absolutely loved the quality and speed of football, we have played this season adngoing forward, there is nobody with the possible exception of Liverpool who can get anywhere near to our attacking prowess. However, even though the statistics might show that we are defensively sound, the possession stats are masking a weak underbelly that knowledgeable football people have sussed. Individually, the defenders we have are exceptional footballers. The problem is that when we are defending against both the counter and an organized attack, we always seem to lack shape and purpose.
Free kicks and the high line, corner kicks and the zonal marking, and the fast counter not only ALL make us look weak and disorganized, but everyone knows we are one of the smallest teams in the League and even some of the bigger players appear unwilling to mess up their shave-styled hair and simply yank and push the opponents.
Spurs at Wembley are a bad opponent at a bad time for us. If we come away with any points, it will be a good day, even though no one seriously expects WBA to do us any favors, and Utd might not lose another League game all season given their run in from here! Feel like we will win the League away at WHU and hopefully get to celebrate it at home to Huddersfield. If not, then there may be a lot riding in that Huddersfield game for both the League and the TV audience!
FFS, surely we can’t make it to the Brighton game or, God forbid, Soton without the trophy in the cabinet and the likes of Muric, Tosin, Diaz and Foden getting 90 minutes for a change??? Four in a row would give the media their “Pep in freefall” and “City in crisis” headlines, and the talking heads would be all a twitter! Let’s not, eh?!
