We have the masthead on the sports section of the DT!!! And they've been able to resurrect Viv Nicholson's very words when she won the world record £75k on Littlewoods - Spend! Spend! Spend! £150m apparently to maintain the challenge in Europe!

And on the inside, next season apparently is gonna be Dipper's year, according to Lovren at Anfield. The basis of this bit of braggadocio is the fact they have beaten us three times. He seems to gloss over the fact that only one of them was for three points and then by a single goal, and the other two by some dreadful refereeing. He has fallen in the usual pit thinking that if they can beat us they can beat anyone! There's not much difference between a Rag and a Dipper when it comes to hallucination, delusion and dementia!

We love Pep. Hope he stays 10 years.

The media is written largely by rags for rags or the Anfield crew.

Of course pep is rubbish and so are city....

There's a difference, Rags fear they can't maintain an erection and the Dippers know they can't.

It's a backlash at not being able to write anything negative about City or Pep.

The long knives have been out and sharpened since last Wednesday. Now they are being stuck in Pep's back.

Make the most of it you ****s, because in the next few weeks you'll have to use those long knives to cut your own throats when City and Pep win the PL title.

For context, even if we won five Champions League trophies on the bounce, it would still be caveated by how much money we spent achieving it.

The last bastion these people have is that the whole project is a failure if we don't win the Champions League.

For context - Real Madrid 12 times winner in 60 years
United - 3 in 55 years
Chelsea 1 in 18 years
Liverpool - 5 in 40 years
Juventus - always the bridesmaid

Not exactly great ratios, especially when you consider Arsenal and their continual involvement, the money spent by all those teams over time, the great teams they have had.

If Blues are waiting for recognition or validition, they are shit outta luck.

Figures and stats will continue to be plucked out of the air picked on nothing more than ill-informed opinion, sat on top of partisan bias.

Dominate at home, it hurts them inside.

This brought a smile....

The Merseyslide media outlets were complaining the other night.

They had to be put in the overspill section on tier 3 of the Colin Bell - to accommodate UEFA guests.

For some reason, we also just forgot to put desks and powerpoints up there...oops

Their would be nothing more sweeter than to see city clinch the prem and those shits lose the semi to spurs on the same weekend, watch the media meltdown it will be sweet [emoji3]

Apart from Juve winning it twice I'd agree with everything else.

We are always going to have some keyboard warrior trying to attach an asterisk to our success and at this point I couldn't give a damn. If rags, dippers or tarquin whoever want to comfort themselves with the cognitive dissonance that success in the 1970s-2000s are the only measures of a big club while relative spending in those eras don't count, let them. They are the old guard, we're the coming force.

It's probably going to take 10 years or more before the kids grow up assuming Manchester City are a big club as we will be a big club all their lives, by then the rags harking back to Fergie will be relics in the same way dippers live in Shankly's shadow. As long as we continue to be smart, innovative and long term planners, the future is ours.

I wasn't having a pop at Juve, either - only that they have lost more finals that they have won - you can imagine the hysteria that would cause if that was City - they have also competed at that level for four decades, so the ratio of wins is paltry - just like the Milan clubs.

Even Madrid works out at only 2 over each decade. Christ, I still remember it was only a few years ago Pep was playing Mancini's Sampdoria at Wembley and Koeman was winning Barca their first European Cup.

We've already won, they just can't accept it. Across the rest of Europe we are one THE teams the elite now hope to play for one day.

I quote the figure of 500m the rags have spent without a premier league title since fergie left. Win it this year we have had 3 different managers winning the premier rags 1

Just been on News Now.

Jesus, it's open season again.

Thankfully Today's online Media is like Yesterday's throw away Chip paper.

10 minutes of fame before the article drops down a page.

and 3 is as many UTD managers who have ever won the league. 2 lucky (ahem) managers and 1st one stole all our players..

There was an article by @barneyronay in The Guardian. Entitled "the bald fact for Pep is that rivals have wised up" which is fine, however within the opening paragraph is the line "is Pep Guardiola a bald, foreign, fraud, the worst kind of fraud there is?" What a twat

Couldn't we have put them on the roof?

Jesus Christ - read the full fucking article you halfwit.

If anything he was being sympathetic to Guardiola.

Which is why the final paragraph states "Defeat will always leave Guardiola open to the taunts of the bald-fraud squad. In reality, to lose this way, still hammering at the same door, lost in his own methods, is simply a part of his appeal, those draining, quixotic defeats another layer to the pleasure his teams can bring."
