It was very generous of the rags to gift City the title today as a gesture of thanks for City:

1) Making a generous cash donation to keep their near bankrupt club going just long enough for their first sugar daddy John Henry Davies to save them from oblivion.

2) Transferring the spine of a superb City side to United after being stitched up over bonus payments and setting them up for their first two titles and first FA Cup.

3) Agreeing to their desperate and snivelling request for City to use their influence to block Manchester Central's application to join the Football League as Central were getting bigger attendances even in the Lancashire Combination and that would have spelt the end for United.

4) Generously donating a new kit to United to replace the tattered kit they were wearing (hence their own fans nicknaming them 'the rags') because, again on the brink of bankruptcy, they couldn't afford to buy one themselves. (Just before their second sugar daddy James Gibson rode in and bailed them out of the shit again).

5) Generously allowing them to share Maine Road for 4 years after the war while the publicly funded repairs were carried out.

6) Generously allowing them to use Maine Road for their first season in Europe because the dozy bastards entered the competition apparently without realising the games were played on midweek evenings and their shit tip had no floodlights.
