Our own shadow Prime Minister is questioning the legality of the attacks why you are accepting it is beyond me.

Why? She has explained the position and what can anyone disagree with?

Not a single civilian was killed nor a Russian and a bit of a blokes chemical arsenal which he has been using on his own people was destroyed.. I don't have a problem with this.

The validity of the UN is now questionable - you have the Russians doing this over Syria and the US doing the same on resolutions about Israel. Its becoming a joke- no beyond a joke.

Whilst I see the point you are making I am not sure how us bombing them a day before the scheduled visit is supposed to make them more amenable to international inspection...... you piss someone off they don't really like you nor want to go along with you. This is in fact the reason why the inspections were needed before any strikes. What has happened today could have actually given more weight to the govt's argument FOR strikes.

The missiles hit chemical weapons production sites and not the area in which the chemical weapons were used, it would be completely irrelevant. One of the places bombed was hundreds of miles away from the site.

This is what happened the last time this came about -

"A joint United Nations-OPCW mission concluded the Syrian air force was responsible for a sarin attack that killed nearly 100 people a year ago in the town of Khan Sheikhoun. The finding led Russia to object to the way in which the joint mission reached its conclusions, and to demand changes in its methodology before its mandate could be renewed."

"A Russian veto at the UN last November means the OPCW is empowered only to state if chemical weapons have been used, and not to attribute responsibility."

Is there really much else to say?

That's a great point mate, They seem to use the U.N. vote when it suits them.

As you just said. Has May had a pop at Trump over the cunts trick moving the American embassy to Jerusalem. Has she bollocks. Trump has practically said he gives not one fuck abt the UN.

Is moving an embassy, however ill judged, anything like equivalent to using chemical weapons?
