5 Games Left, Which Players...

Brahim (for Sané/Sterling) and Foden (for Silva) id like to see Stones/Laporte in central defence as Ottamendi clearly needs a break.

Lots of people taking about players wanting to rest for the World Cup but the flipside is that they will still want to retain match sharpness. If you take the next 2 months off then you'll not be at your peak for the WC. I suspect (hope) therefore that we'll still play strong teams but maybe give a couple of the fringe players a bit more time on the pitch than usual but no wholesale changes.

As others have said, we also owe it to the rest of the league to continue at a high level. We'd all be mightily hacked off if the boot was on the other foot and we lost a relegation scrap because a rival picked up points they weren't expected to because one of the big boys was already on the beach. Let's face it, it wasn't that long ago that the boot was on the other foot...

We should continue to field a strong team and introduce fringe/youth players as early as possible when/if we are in the ascendancy.

More than anyone I'd like to see Brahim get a run out. If Foden's season ended today he'd have already had a great year but there's so more to come with Diaz. If he kicks on over these next few games he could secure himself a place for next season either here or get himself a nice loan. No reason not to let him try.

Danilo.
Aside from the 3-4 youngsters, I would like to see him start the next five games, either at right-back or in centre midfield. Would give Walker a break as well.

Stones and Laporte will probably play most games now. no point risking vinny when theres a world cup coming up and otamendi could do with a rest.

mendy should get a game at some point, brighton or southampton probably.

maybe see the likes of foden or diaz start a game but more likely just on the bench, ready to come on.

we don't owe the teams at the bottom anything. the fuckers have been kicking our players all season and tried to fuck us on ffp. fuck em, wish they would all go down (except swansea, they're alright)

Full strength every time, with those you mention coming off the bench when we have games won.

Anything else and we will just be remembered as another champion, rather than an historical benchmark which could last decades.

The greatest testament to Pep's team is to collect 102 points and go for broke and goals in every game.

Without the pressure, we could be even more ruthless and we need to ensure momentum is still there for next season.
