PFA nominations are out

Two great players and a worthy winner I guess but the media campaign waged by BT and the BBC in particular- certainly highlighted Salahs credentials over Kev’s.

think tbf...the slight dip of kev in form beginning of the year around the voting period and coupled with the form of salah when he was scoring nearly every game ...tilted in his favor.

The players themselves vote for this award based on what they see and know.
Whilst I 100% agree with you that the both the BBC & BT were extremely biased
I don't honestly think their stance or reporting made one iota of difference to any players vote.

Two fantastic players - either would have been worthy winners and hopefully both will make this year’s Ballon D’or as well

Salah has been exceptional doing what he does, however KDB has been exceptional in all aspects of the game, and for that I believe should have won the award.

Any Season awards voted for and given out before the season has ended are not worth winning.
It's always been like that IIRC Peter Barnes won his young player of the year award the night we won the league Cup in 76 before March had started

If Salah and Kev had been injured all season, we would have still won the league. Liverpool however would not have got top 4 and certainly would not still be in the CL. So you can make an argument for Salah having a greater impact on his side.

There have been quite a few spurs players who have won this award and the last time they were champions was 61. So the winner doesn't always come from the league champions.

But if they had Harry Kane, they would likely have at least the same points.

I'd be a bit hypocritical if I now said KDB should have won it. I don't even think he has been our best player, Silva has........ again.

Depends how you look at it between KDB and Salah, Salah has scored shit loads of goals but I genuinely think without being biased KDB has contributed more. He went through a period of a few months where he was unstoppable. He pulled the strings and lead his team to the title and a cup. Salah will have games where he is completely anonymous but will pop up with a goal. His numbers are great but for me KDB over him, just look at yesterday the unreal goal aside that pass to Sterling for Silvas goal is the kind of thing that goes unnoticed in his play. I am sure he won't be arsed he has missed out with what he has won this season and I believe he even voted for Salah I just hope he isn't disappointed.
