I could see him scoring with a long kick if we have opponents chasing the game and their keeper comes up for a corner. But other than that, nope.

In Aguero’s absence, I don't see why Ederson couldn't take a penalty.
Being a keeper shouldn't really matter if he's confident of doing the business.
In fact, it might even give him a small advantage.He may be aware of how the other keeper is thinking.

It is disrespectful because he isn't our taker. If he was our penalty taker all the time then that is different. We are basically saying we have the title wrapped up so we are going to take the piss out of everyone else.
