How would we feel if one of ours was fighting for his life after being attacked in the street?
Many of the posts on here are way out of order.
The reality is that most of Roma's games with English teams over the last 17 years have been marred with similar fan violence. In fact there's a long history of violence going back to the eighties. in 2001, six Liverpool fans were stabbed around a UEFA Cup tie in Rome. In 2006, three Middlesbrough fans were stabbed in the same city when attending a UEFA Cup tie. A year later, five Manchester United fans were stabbed before a Champions League group game. In 2009, a bus of Arsenal supporters was ambushed by Roma fans - they smashed the windows, stopped the bus, and one fan got on board and stabbed an English fan. In 2012, a Spurs fan received treatment for stab wounds following an assault by Roma fans. And last year, Chelsea fans drinking in an Irish bar were attacked by masked Roma fans wielding metal bars.
I know they knocked us out of the CL but we are just looking bitter and obsessed with these posts.
Think you're missing the point, nobody has condoned the stabbing and hope the victim makes a full recovery. Most posters are frustrated at the rank hypocrisy of the cult that is Liverpool Football Club. They build a hostile atmosphere for games, try to intimidate opponents and fans by throwing bricks, flares and bottles. Well it's fucking backfired and they have a responsibility to stop this nonsense not encourage it.
Was going to post this earlier. Free press my fucking arse. Oh, and I still haven't seen the Echo apologise for saying the fan carrying the hammer was a Roma fan. Mind you I don't read it, so I'm just guessing they haven't!The cult wins out, Express have apologised...

They stood by and watched our coach get attacked, simple as that. They stood by and let them climb on top of police vans and set flares off. They allowed Roma fans to attack Liverpool fans outside the fucking Kop - the police, and the club, need looking at. The Express journalist got it bang on, but he'll get slaughtered. They seem think that attacking our bus was a jolly party. What happened to their fan was wrong and needs punishing and so do Liverpool for what happened on our visit. I hope that the Rome police force is more capable of protecting people than the Mersey police were, at least I expect the Rome police to try.
It's never stopped them in the past, even to the extent of nicking them from Liverpool supporters who had tickets.I do hope Liverpool fans get ran all over Rome.
Sadly, the fucking morons that cause all this can’t afford tickets and won’t be there.
Either way they’re all, and yes a sweeping generalization, a bunch of victim playing ****s.

Ninety-six football fans who died as a result of a crush in the 1989 Hillsborough disaster were unlawfully killed, inquests which concluded in 2016 found.

Nothing to do with sour grapes , Dippers create an atmosphere of pure hate at their big home games and when they know opposition supporters such as Roma will give as good as they get , they go running to the authorities for protection , hyprocites and f*cking cowards.
Just had to nip out, so put 5Live on and a bit of Talkshite. My life, Liverpool are getting some favourable press. Klopp now has a telepathic relationship with some of his players, knowing when to put an arm around their shoulder and when to tell them off - most of us call that people management, but you can now call it ESP.
Their whole season, well all they're talking about, is three games v us, and one v Roma. No mention of two draws and a defeat to the bottom team, or only being third in the league, and going out of both domestic cup competitions early doors.
F***ing hell, the hypocrisy get's worse.
Jurgen Klopp. Today's press conference.
“It’s common sense,” said the Reds boss in his press conference today.
“What else can I say? Behave. Treat other people how you would want to be treated yourself.”
Not to mention him also say supporters should be protected.
They really have become a running joke, believing all their bullshit!
I don't know exactly what happened to that poor Irish guy but I suspect he was hit and possibly fell and hit his head. Some of their fans are saying that you can't compare the two incidents of our coach and this guy but what if the stuff they were throwing had the same effect and someone fell and hit their head or a steward was hit and went under the coach's wheel? It can be small margins between serious or fatal injuries and less serious ones. Fuck them. I hope they get chased all over Rome and the Italian police baton charge them. I don't want anyone to get seriously hurt but I'd laugh my fucking socks off if I saw pictures of them with blood streaming from their thick skulls after the Italian cops had given them a good hiding. They seem think that attacking our bus was a jolly party. What happened to their fan was wrong and needs punishing and so do Liverpool for what happened on our visit. I hope that the Rome police force is more capable of protecting people than the Mersey police were, at least I expect the Rome police to try.
If it was Liverpool, the coach would be accompanied to the Liverpool coach park and then abandoned for the fans to find their own way to the ground!I hope their fans get the escort to the ground and no one gets hurt. However, I hope their team coach gets fucking trashed by thousands of Roma fans
