Remember back in august/september time, after they'd had a fairly decent start to the season and all the media were working themselves into a frenzy over the rags potentially winning the title? They hadn't played anyone half decent at that time.

Just one of those players needs to climb out from under his bus and tell the press the real problem is his shit, negative, one dimensional defensive tactics that’s the real issue and throw him under his own bus lol.

They beat West Ham 4-0 and won the league.

They’ve managed to lose to a few who aren’t ‘half-decent’ since....

Their predictions in the first few games...
  • Mourinho’s second season after winning ‘3’ trophies = champions
  • PL Trophy coming to Manchester = likely to them because they scored 4 goals a game against the Reals and Barcas of the league
  • When will they start scoring 5 a game, because it looked like they can. The unstoppable juggernaut they are.
  • Player Settled down = Pogboom

And then as months went by..
  • Perspectives
  • ‘When can we truly be excited?’ and ‘How to fall in love with the club again’ discussions
  • Pogba (the injured version) is the best midfielder in the league, allegedly.
  • Call for Mourinho’s head, quickly counterargued by some that supporters being impatient and unfair.

Coming to the end of their comedic 9 months false dawn..
  • Call for Mourinho’s head. Most will not miss him if he left tomorrow.
Ha.

For my sins I've trawled the rag Youtube fan channels and I've done it quite a bit since Slur Alex left. The rag fans have gone through various stages of anger and denial punctuated by the odd high, like beating us, where they absolutely cream themselves, ickle Utd anyone? But without a doubt the anger has subsided to be replaced by a persistent mood of depressed resignation, they know it's all over and when I say all over I'm not talking about the odd FA Cup, they now know there's no return to the 90s. They look at us and to a lesser extent Liverpool and they want to be that, they desperately want an escape from the turgid negative football, and with the exception of David de Gea they view their players as either prancing prima donnas or demotivated journeymen.

Opinion is divided on Mourinho, but the Mourinho out brigade are on the rise, I see planes and banners in the not too distant future.

Probably the start of the reason I got banned from the cafe. I pointed out many times that the early season 4-0’s were achieved in the late 2nd Half’s against teams that were crap, at the time it clearly made no sense to them, despite the obvious facts.

Another point, United had become the Liverpool of the 00’s and 10’s, ‘istree.

With the buying of Sanchez and Pogba etc, have they now become Swales’s City of the late 80’s and early 90’s?

What next.... I wonder

Hard to spot they played last night on BBC news, women's fa cup....no mention of us being holders, assorted horse trials interviews and slipped in Brighton won by the smallest of margins only 2.4 inches over the line......that pesky goal line technology.

Mind the canyon the gap is too small a word.

Was on holiday in Portugal then and obviously the twats were on in the bars , so hard to avoid. They got too carried away with themselves too early, but it wasn't long before the signs were there. I think Moyes had a great start as well there IIRC. Oh well.

Another wonderful success at the hands of the " special one " .

Even the total fucking morons must be sick of the miserable cnut blaming everybody but himself for their failures. I hope they are too scared of firing him because of the special job he is doing,

First they wrap up the league for us while Vinny is on the sofa and now they've handed us the largest points gap between first and second in Premier League history (remaining games notwithstanding).

The rags, the gift that keeps on giving.

Funny stat - if the rags could turn all their draws into wins and all their losses into draws, we'd still be top if we avoided defeat tomorrow.

Still cannot fathom how they are comfortably second. This is the worst 2nd placed team in a very long time. A very mediocre footballing side. The disparity between their points tally and performances is staggering. Wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest to see them collapse next season. Liverpool the only side that concerns me at the moment, and even they struggle against sides that sit in.
It's the same way Wimbledon won the FA Cup. They play stifling negative football and wait for set pieces and the opportnity for a long cross into the box to a target man. Virtually all their attacks culminate in a ball pumped into the box for Lukaku or Fellaini.
It is shameful dinosaur football in an era when fans want entertainment. This season they have scored a pathetic 65 goals, most of them from long hoofs into the box. They have become a laughing stock.
