Agree but its very rare for an agent to show strong intent towards a club before a deal has been agreed....His agent has pretty much said, agree a fee and he's a blue.........if its not close, comments like this could corner your market as it signals we are his preferred club.

This is a fairly standard drum up some business type line. Get your player in the press, get the selling club on notice etc. He must be aware a deal is verly likely as he is basically nudging the buying clubs to put an offer in, he's probbably picked out his new house/car/yacht and wants to get things going.

I saw it as well mate.....I think they must be jumping the gun a little after Jorginho's agent comments yesterday! Dont think ITV would get breaking news over local, club connected press! Hopefully it happens soon....
 
His apparent lack of mobility worries me against the higher paced pressing teams but then again it never stoppefd barry
 
With us only doing a couple of signings by the sound of it then this one shouldn’t be difficult to tie up this month. Pep wants him and he wants pep as per his agent and with us not having to find the money for 5-6 players then pay the money and get him in

I agree mate....there is nothing to confirm the story from any of the normal sources.....Even skysports are covering the Jorginho will move to Man City rumours but is all goes back to his agent comments yesterday... ITV and Sky only now catching up with what was reported yesterday...think it will happen but hasnt happened yet...

Jorginho's agent Joao Santos said: "Jorginho is still under contract but if Napoli finds an agreement with City, the player will go to Manchester.

"Finding an agreement with the English club will not be a problem considering the importance of the team.

"At the moment, I have not heard anything from the leadership of Napoli. I hope to hear from the director and maybe in the next few days I will be in Naples to talk about it."
 
Can anyone on tell here ..how is he compared to Fred ?
Of course , one advantage I understand he used to a similar style to us playing under sarri at napoli

No expert but from the little I've seen of both players, Fred seems a quicker, high energy type of player that would likely help a little more going forward. Jorginho seems more of a "QB of your team" type of player that is likely to sit in front of your back four and stick to that role...I think technically Jorginho is better but Fred offers more flexibility going forward...I guess we already have alot of those types so someone like Jorginho that will have a specific role makes more sense...

Better. His anticipation of danger is as good as Kante and attacking wise he is very much Nappoli's quarter back. The chip over the top of a pressing defence to feet or down the channels are his signature moves. His chips over the top of a deep defence are pretty good too. Tactics that would cause Liverpool all sorts of bother. He wouldn't need much time to adjust either as Napolli's system is so similar to ours.
