Signing Mahrez will not improve our first team in the slightest ? Nothing to be said really ....time will tell.

How will it improve our first team ?

Is he better than Sterling or Sane ?

The answer is no he is not, he can improve our rotational ability, but again I will say 75m for rotational players lol

So is there really any need for this kind of comment "nothing to be said really" sorry to disagree with you but there you go.

We could play the 3 of them ,he could play as a roaming midfielder because his passing and movement is v.good also. A very classy player who is better than B.Silva & Sane right now & would be straight in the 1st team. I think once he’s played for us for a few months you will change your view of him .

Please can you help me out here, Mr Bluealf.

You don't think Mahrez will improve our first team.

Pep Guardiola seems to think he will.

Whom do you think I should believe?

He's entitled to his opinion and time will tell.

I think people find it hard to appreciate how far we have come this season and how good we actually are.

Is he better than Sane and Sterling is certainly debateable and the fact we can have a genuine debate on that shows there is quality there and there is not many in the PL we can be talking about.

We need a player in that position, to have someone who is beyond debate better then Sane or Sterling there is probably a handful, are any available, within our wage structure, transfer budget, would they be happy with rotation etc.

So I would want to know who Bluealf think we should buy.

My actual issue is he very rarely plays on the Left, Sterling is half the player out there and I don't think B. Silva has played there. I think we would have more balance with someone who was stronger on left, but could play right as opposed to the other way. With Sane out we may find having to go 5 at the back with wing backs as our default position.

That said I am happy with it, the money is a lot but probably market price in this inflated market. We will probably get told how can a 75 million player be on the bench, but in Sane and Sterling you probably have £100 million player.

Mahrez is somewhere in between. He's not a sinclair but he's not a hazard. We'll see how he does...

How is he not a hazard? He's out performed him over the last three seasons despite playing in a worse team.

The only difference is Hazard sells more shirts. Ability wise there's nothing in it.

Mahrez asked to leave sulked for a week and came back and put in a shift for Leicester

That lazy cheating diving **** hazard takes every other season off if and then only performs if he can be arsed.

If I had a choice I would take Mahrez tbh

If Mahrez signed for Pool I suppose everyone would start flapping. Amazing signing that makes our squad (not starting eleven as there is no such thing) much stronger.

His stats, and what i have seen with my own eyes, suggest he's very close to 'a Hazard' and his name shouldn't be mentioned in the same footballing universe as 'a Sinclair'

Would 100% have Mahrez over Hazard. If you put Hazard into the Leicester team, I don`t think he would be as good as Mahrez.
32 goals and 13 assists (only PL) in the last 3 seasons for Hazard
35 goals and 25 assists (only PL) in the last 3 seasons for Mahrez
I think Mahrez would be fantastic here, and I`m curious if he can play on the left side as we don`t have too many alternatives to Sane

This deal has grown on me and for one I believe he will make a supurb addition to the squad. One thing is for sure he wont be here to sit on the bench. He will have to earn his starting pot but once there he will take some shifting.

Well be sure to come back when it goes tits up and tell Pep that he knows fuck all.

Are we not allowed an opinion ?

Can you think for yourself with out falling back on the "pep thinks" line it is pathetic, Pep also fucking spunked 17m on Bravo deal with that conundrum.

Also you didn't answer the question, but obviously you must think he is better than Sterling or Sane, I think that is wrong obviously.

Not better, not worse. Different.

He doesn't have the pace of Sane and Sterling but more skilful on the ball and a very good passer and finisher.

What is the matter with people on here, do we have to log in and go baa baa baa, Pep thinks, Pep says, it must be true, Pep never makes an error.

What a pathetic argument you have come back with.

Do remember I fucking stated he was a good player, I never rubbished him, just said he won't improve our first team, sorry for the independent thinking that he isn't a patch on Sterling or Sane, what am I fucking like eh.
