Genuine question.....If Jesus or Aguero ever injured, is he able to play in the middle/striker role? Or it is more likely to be someone like Sterling and Mahrez would play out wide? cheers all.

For me, Mahrez is not a central player. His games as a 10 were often his worst.

I agree, but we dont have the pace and versatility a la Sane in our squad, hence Mahrez will be a good competition for Sane (and deepen our squad depth)

This is the way I see things, we already have Stones, Laporte, Sané, Sterling, Jesus, Foden, Diaz in the side plus a lot of lads in their mid 20s, there's only so many younger players the coaching staff can work with every day.

This is like people wanting us to sign another Fernandinho type DM rather than Jorginho

Jorginho and Mahrez are specific targets with certain skillsets chosen to combat all the ungodly busparking we'll face - it is what will determine whether we retain the title. We already have Fernandinho, just like we already have Sane and Sterling.

Bailey is a good young player who could become a brilliant player but that isn't enough reason to sign him imo

We've been fine with him and the majority will welcome him back I'm sure. There will of course always be the moronic element who consider anyone wanting to further their careers some kind of judas, but I'm sure it will only be a tiny minority.

How can you be angry at someone who won Leicester the premier league! I'm a bit disappointed in the upfront fee (we rate him that highly), but with the absence of other serious bids and the fee likely to drop like a stone in further transfer windows, there isn't much we can do about it now. If the add ons do take it up to £75m potentially, then it's acceptable.

I know you lot think £60m is a lot... but when you get quoted £30m for Troy Deeney, £20m+ for Grelish, £25m+ for Townsend and the like. It puts it into perspective that's we're likely to get two average players for £60m. Whilst losing someone who is most likely to be called "world class", after a few goals for you.
