I was a big critic of Yaya's farewell game - not that I didn't rate him as a world-class player in years past, performing excellently on the pitch for our club; it's that he's been totally selfish throughout his time at City, caring only for himself, letting his agent run rough-shod in hope of earning more money.

For this sentiment I received numerous posts of the "WTF!," "Are you for real," "Sniff, sniff, I smell a rag!," variety - to those posters - revel in the true Yaya!

I said the same he should have got nowhere near the party Zabba got. He is a very selfish man which isn't a bad thing but he has gone out of his way to shine our club in a bad light many times. Some posters want us to bow down to him for him playing his best for us, something he was paid an absolute fortune to do.

Sad but Yaya has ultimately tarnished his legacy, while I'll look back on some fantastic moments with him I'll never view him in the same light as Kompany, Silva or Sergio
 
Can we all just get a signed petition going to get his pictures, and anything remotely linked to him removed from the club asap

Utter fucking disgrace from this ex-player who has basically decided to stick 2 fingers up at the manager, club and us fans

I doubt it to be fair, Yaya was liked by a lot of players espeically Vinnie it seems but think most will not give it a second thought. Any fair minded person woukd take his words as just nonesense and itll be forgotten. The things he said are so comical that theyll be viewed as sjch i hope so anyway. Now his slimy agent has brought African curses into the equation it makes it even more hilarious. Saying that its still sad its been said and yes Yaya should have just kept his mouth shut. Its just rather sad really.

Yaya was a great player but we have seen many great players over the years. When I think back about the special players, I have never thought of Yaya in those terms. I can't honestly say whether his persistent outbursts have tarnished my view of him but I just don't see him in the same light as Colin, Kinky, Sergio, Merlin and Kompany.

He was colossal in the 2013-14 season, I've never seen such a complete player like him in a city shirt.
Like I said though, it will be difficult to remember those moments in the same light
