My opinion is that there was better options but after last season, dont think anyone can question Pep's master plan!;)

I personally think although the club thinking Fred was a good player, he was the one option that could be bought in a January window? With dinho still being world class even at the age he is then it seems that Fred isn’t the number one choice for pep. We went for mahrez in January and are back for him again but not Fred?

I dont expect him to get 15 goals a season.....thats not what his game is about! He helps others get more goals....a bit like a QB that passes to a WR or hands off to a RB....his style of play will helps others get more goals. I think he's a good player, just felt there was better options out there that offered more flexibility.

Go on, you're dying to say Fred. Again.

Matter of interest, how often have you seen both play?..........and I'm not talking about YouTube compilations.

Enough to form an opinion mate....not trying to knock the guy and think he'll be a good signing. His passing is up there with the best in Europe....I just type what I see and I see limitations in his game but know Pep has a role for him and will fit the system perfectly.

I think Jorginho will be equipped with exactly the skills needed for the job Pep will want him to do. I don't get all this discussion about how he is too slow and does not score goals enough, and so on. I think it is probably just like comparing apples with bananas. Don't you think that if Pep wanted a fast, goalscoring midfielder he might have bought one?

Well his game isn't more 'limited' than Fred's for a start.

Maybe pep doesn’t want flexibility in a player at the moment? Maybe he just wants a player who plays the one way but is class at it? Fabinho can play DM and FB? We have options galore at FB though with walker, Danilo, mendy and delph? Fred can play DM or LB but same answer? Jorginho seems to be the number one choice and pep will have a reason for that because if we wanted Fred then we would be signing him rather than letting him go to the trafford buccaneers

Let's hope Pep is aware of his 'limitations' then.

He would love one, I'm sure, but he can't get one for that position , because there isn't one who can combine so many things at high quality.

Fernandinho is one of the best players we will ever see, in that he can do what Pep wants at any moment, on the fly, at top quality.

These guys can't, none of them.

Jorginho is something different & a top player.

Good point mate....I think your right, I've been comparing him to other players at the same position, trying to look at them side by side but this should be about who Pep sees as the best fit for "his" system and the person that can play the role he has set out in his mind....clearly Jorginho is that person! Lets hope we get this over the line and move on to Mahrez!;)

I wonder how much the players personality comes into the equation. We never know if there's something pep has seen or heard that makes him not want a player at the club. an African holiday perhaps ;)
