Domenec Torrent (Pep's long time assistant) leaves the club, but not CFG

seeing as some people are inevitably going to start worrying about this, lets look at it logically.

he is staying within the CFG, so we can pretty much bring him back at any time if need be.

pep will have given his blessing - torrent wont have wanted to be an assistant forever - hence recruiting arteta to replace him.

this will give arteta more responsibility with a view to him potentially taking over from Pep.
You mean he wouldn't want to be a bit-torrent?

To be fair most of us wouldnt recognise Torrent if we walked past him in the street!

You mean the guy that has been with Pep for 11 years, has sat next to him on the bench since he has been here and celebrates every goal with him ?

Yep, not a clue.

Pep wouldn't have let this happen without his blessing.

Perhaps this gives Arteta the step up to 'official' assistant manager which gives him that extra bit more responsibility and perhaps ended up keeping him at the club.

This move has clearly been known about a while.
This sounds about right

This is good news. It demonstrates that CFG is planning all the time to develop people and give them lots of different experience. Imagine that, a football 'club' acting like a proper big company. Same with Patrick going outside; if he is successful, we will have a fully rounded candidate for Peps successor. Soriano has long wanted to do something like this, but Barca turned it down. World domination.....a piece of piss!

Kiddo - one of his other assistants - is 68 and you'd have thought would like to put his feet up soon. That would be 2 of his 4 assistants gone.
Need to have one or two lined up

Rui Faria has left Mourinho's side,
Željko Buvač has left Klopp's side,
and Domenec Torrent has left Pep's side....
