Wasn't much opportunity going forward really. Haven't seen him play for Genoa but he seems to play left mid/wing or attacking midfield for them so the ability must be there. Should also make him a good fit for Guardiola as he might be able to alternate between inverted fullback and overlapping. Still only 25 as well and being at Genoa shouldn't cost a bomb in fees or wages. Pity we're not linked as the more I've seen of him at this World Cup the more I've been impressed by him.

To add to the above, not a full picture but doesn't seem a mile behind Mendy in an attacking sense, looks streets ahead defensively (I've used Mendy 16/17 due to his injury).

Believe so, Di Marzio seem to think its all but done, Ornstein from the BBC seems to think its a bit away - no agreement yet, maybe waiting till after WC.

I think a lot of teams will be looking at him. With him being at Stuttgart you would expect him to be gettable for most big clubs.

Young, talented and technically gifted, if it was not Walker we would be all over it. For him he would be too good not to be first choice somewhere.

Luckily United have already brought the ‘best right back in Europe’ as he would have been an obvious signing for them that would have been a huge upgrade on Valencia.
