I did wonder whether Celtic or Rangers would be an option for him - but longer term he’ll need to take a huge pay cut. That said if a poor season at Torino and sitting on the bench at West Ham didn’t give him an indication of his present predicament then he’s gonna have to reappraise his position at some point . He’s presently an average Premier League keeper at best - and he’s going to struggle to extend his career if he doesn’t lower his wage demands. I thought he was exceptional for us under Mancini but he’s fallen away from those standards - significantly and only he knows if he can get back to those levels again. I wish him well.
You've Pretty much wrote what I would have wrote.

you don't from a great player to a shit player without something being a major problem in your lifestyle even pep guardiola did not fancy him should have made him more determining to show him he was wrong but its gone from bad to worst and can not get a game anywhere. from being top england keeper to now not playing at all something in joe's lifestyle changed for the worst

am not one of them who will slag joe hart what he did for us will remain special and a big part of putting manchester city back on the map. so with a tear in my eye i hope to god joe can turn it around and get playing again and show he is a great player and well all love him at manchester city and wish the bets for him

Can't see him being allowed back on the campus TBH
On what grounds? Surely the club would be in breach of contract if he was not allowed turn up for work? That said can't see him getting a place on the plane to America.
Another loan followed by a big wage cut and a stint in the Championship is what awaits Joe I'd say.

No, not if we left him off the squad lists and told him to arrange his own training - working from home. That said he'd probably be allowed to train with the u23s while having it made very clear to him that he was behind 4 keepers for the first team and he'd better sort a loan if he wanted any chance of first team football.

Thought about Joe Hart today when i was reading about the unity and closeness of this current England squad and how open they interact with the fans and the media.

Darts comps with the journo’s, selfies with the fans. No aloofness at all.

It made me think of England in Brazil 14 and joe Hart beinh asked whos winning the inter squad darts comp (think it was darts) and him replying, “its non of your business”. I thought then how Billy Big Time that was and those rumours never went away. Maybe part of the reason why Pep wanted him gone immediately and how hes struggled to get much of a gig since is this persistent rumour of him thinking he was the dogs bollocks and a bit of a cock to go with it.
And maybe once he was knocked down a peg his form went with it.

Ok sorry I'll rephrase - I can't see him being allowed any contact with the first team, EDS or team staff.

Agree karen7 - he must have a strong character & family - the rate of his decline would have pushed many off the rails, even into depression, - imo, he's only ever given his all for us and the club he loves.

When you think he was pushed out of the club he loves it's no wonder he didn't do well in Italy, probably the last place he wanted to be,keepers are a strange breed, very confident in themselves and strong minded, hopefully he will settle wherever he goes next

Rubbish. Club that paid him a fortune and gave him success. Without one of these 2 ingredients he’d have dropped us at the first opportunity.

This isn’t a criticism of him it’s modern day football.

That's the point mate - it's not Joe it's today's game. Ok some may not use the word love, but he has strong feelings for the club and us fans which are reciprocated. That does not mean I want him back in nets for us, it means I want him to be happy playing somewhere again. He deserves that and our fond regard for his well being, imo.

He's finished with us. If he has any professional pride, he'll be prepared to take a pay cut in order to get regular first team football. Yes; I know he's under no obligation to do so, and the club were happy to sign the contract at the time. But I'm sure he's not short of a bob or two. Does he seriously want regular first team football?

He has a contract for another year so he is entitled to see that out,why do people always expect footballers to give up money they are entitled to,no other job would you expect somebody to do that

I am sure he would take a pay cut happily to get back to first team football elsewhere, but that's not the main issue.

He has just had a couple of really bad years which would gave been difficult for him to come to grips with, considering he should be at the peak of his career. Must be really confidence destroying, being sold by the club he so clearly loves and then losing the England spot

I hope the club officials are being as supportive as they can be. He was one of us for several years, a key part of the club, someone who saved us so many times, and to win the golden gloves four times with City's attacking lineup was quite an achievement.

He was one of the clique and very much the last one left by all accounts. Expect an ambitious Championship club to take him on. It’s nice to see arrogant twats fall from grace. He’s a public schoolboy called Charles.
