General transfer rumours

The pressure is on klipperty now surely, this season has to be shit or bust for the toothy one.
Keita, fabinho, possibly allison, shakiri signed, that's a lot of bread shelled out just to be given the tag of most attacking and attractive team.
And in a sense it's slightly took a bit of the pressure from us, if everyone is throwing money at players trying to catch us up then they are cranking up the pressure on themselves.

Not seen much of him but looked bang average at the WC

Shot stopper - 8
Set pieces - 6
Distribution - 9
Leadership/ charisma - 5

Not in the same league as De Gea, Oblak or Courtois. A massive upgrade on what Liverpool has, but the price is crazy.

Is that according to the devs in Vancouver?

For a team that has spent the most over the January window and this summer, they look like they actually know how to spend it.

If indeed they are accurate scores, he's ahead of De Gea..

I've never been overly impressed with Alisson. But can't be worse than what they've got. Let's see if he's got the balls that Ederson has.

I doubt he’s ‘bang average’ if he’s keeping Ederson out of the Brazil side. But that being said, £67m is a staggering fee for a goalkeeper.

From the little I’ve seen, he’s got better distribution than most but isn’t as good a shot-stopper as the likes of De Gea and Lloris.

lloris,he is fucking wank, makes more mistakes than any keeper but never gets slagged off.

Edwards in France, Fekir to Liverpool revived and talks going well, according to fairly unreliable Twitter heroes.

Well, we got a better GK for nearly half as much. Wonder if Lineker et al will be saying "...£67 million for a GK. That's when I knew football had gone mad." Doubt it though cos it's the Dippers.

Difference is that Liverpool loses their Sane's (Sterling), Agüero's (Suarez) and their KDB's (Coutinho).

That's £300m that Liverpool didn't want to spend at all. They want to keep their players and keep their squad. It means that you have to start all over again.

Net spend is a better measure to judge by, if you are in to metrics.

Don't forget Can.

You can't help looking at this Alisson transfer and thinking, “Why is this so fucking easy for Liverpool, and we spent four or five months of daily and finally fruitless negotiations for our man?”. Well I can't, anyway.

I think they are a few years behind us in terms of squad development mate and still playing catch up...They are still at that point where they will pay the selling club's valuation, just to get it done. We dont have the same needs as these other teams. Our squad is strong, top to bottom, so the "need" isnt as great, meaning we have a price and wont go over it. I think Liverpool have filled their 2 biggest needs this summer and could push us right to the end of the season....Personally, I will feel much better if/when we get cover, support for Fern....

You mean like it was with VVD and Fekir? The Alisson transfer has also been ongoing for quite some time.

We'd have got Jorginho if Sarri hadn't been going to Chelsea.
