They have upgraded on what they had which was a shite goalkeeper and industrious midfielders, now they have a quality keeper and better industrious midfielders.

When they start signing players of the KDB, David Silva vintage then I'll be worried.

Still they'll be up there and should be closer to us, given the world cup will have little impact on them. A good start for them and slip ups from us and the others could see a decent title challenge.

I don’t think I’ve read that book of the bible yet.

;-)
Oh ye who will be blessed to watch, the ginger wizard shall receive the ball and summoning the spirit of God (wearing no 21) he shall turn and hit a pass that beats mortal description curling from the left wing and our Lord and saviour shall walk on air and perform miracles, he shall turn a bouncing ball into 100 points and the clueless one shall again be cast into the deepest hells, where Spanish Dave decreed on the first day he shall stay until the last.

And the great apostle, Kun, shall reach the Promised Land of 200 goals, and will say verily unto the three young disciples - Gabriel, Leroy and Raheem - "I have shown thee the way. Now go forth and multiply thy number of goals."

And though I walk through the valley of Scouseland, I will have no fear, for Merlin is my shepherd, and those of you who would throw bottles and bricks at my brother, I will lay down my vengeance upon...

Haven't watched Pulp Fiction in a while tbh.

It’s a joke isn’t it! The media is infested with these apologist fuckers. Check out the bbc article on Allison’s signing. Most of it is about how Ederson was actually more than Buffon in pounds but they measure Europeans transfers in euros so Buffon was the old record.

(From bbc.com)
The previous record fee for a keeper was the 53m euros paid by Juventus to Parma for Gianluigi Buffon in 2001.

The Premier League record for a keeper is the 40m euros Manchester City paid Benfica for Ederson in June 2017.

Buffon's deal was worth £32.6m at the time, while Ederson's was worth £35m because of changing exchange rates, but as most deals between clubs in Europe, including the Premier League, are completed in euros Buffon's deal is recognised as the record.

And Jesus said to the gathered scousers...."let him who is without a job cast the first bottle" and lo they all threw bottles

That’s fucking unbelievable. last year City were ruining football for paying 35m for a GK...now they nearly double that and it’s painted as shrewd negotiating.

To be fair 365 probably never criticised us for buying Ederson they are usually pretty fair with us and are the first to point out hypocrisy in the press when writing about us in mediawatch.

They've had a good transfer window, no doubt. But business done early creates hysteria and the pressure will mount for them to not only challenge but win the title. I doubt there squad experience to bounce back when it gets tough in November & December for a serious head to head come April & May.

Would like to see how much Liverpool’s wages has increased with all these signings it must be close to the limit with premiership ffp.

They'll get the same punishment that they got for failing UEFA FFP. A big fuck off sweeping brush and a rug.

They are still very reliant on a small pool of class players. Similar to Tottenham, one of the best in the league for a first 11 and when all on form but if you look at their worst results from last year they were terrible and its those results they need to change - and they wont change enough of them.
