I can go without drinking throughout the week but look forward to a few at weekend. I'd struggle like fuck to go a month without.
Try 8 yearsProbably but would struggle I think and be bored.
ill turn it could i go a month with alcohol
i doubt it these days and i was worlds worst i wouldn't go anyhere unless drink involved
I could if I wanted to. Usually only have a beer Friday to Sunday. Occasionally have one in the week if it’s a holiday or City are on. No big deal for me.Probably but would struggle I think and be bored.
Since theage of 18, have only once been more than a few days without booze. Meningitis when 30. Two weeks without a pint. It was murder, started back on Shandy .Last 30 years drink a little most days.
Enjoy it while you can, if you don't enjoy it don't drink it.
You only started two days ago. It just seems like a month!Bump.
A month and counting. Even with the World Cup and all the nice weather, I haven't been interested. It's been easy.

Up to you, mate. I know from personal experience that once I go back after a period of abstinence I tend to slip straight back into the old routine, but we’re all different.Haha. The last 5 weeks with work and such has been a bit of a blur.
No work tomorrow and I'm 230 miles away from the wife and kids......with erm....work.
Maybe it's time to reset the counter.
I don’t see the point and would rather go without.Whilst not completely off topic I wonder how many would drink the non alcohol containing beers that seem to be everywhere now.
I suppose for some they get the taste of the beer without the alcohol.I don’t see the point and would rather go without.

A month is a good period to give your liver a rest, but I would say two would be even better. I’m 50 next year and I’m increasingly conscious of my own mortality, especially in relation to drinking. I’ve witnessed a lot of lives cut short by boozing in the last 30 years, but also appreciate its huge benefits to many, including myself. I love drinking, and the feeling of being drunk, but if I was told by a doctor (for example) I had to stop tomorrow it doesn’t fill me with dread. There’s worse burdens in this world than not being able to drink ffs.
What would be the point in that?Whilst not completely off topic I wonder how many would drink the non alcohol containing beers that seem to be everywhere now.
