Unfortunately for us the really elite players we've been linked with over the years and will be in future like Messi, Mbappe, Ronaldinho etc. have a choice of which city they want to live in. As much as I love Manchester, it's not as attractive a place to live to most people as London, Barcelona, Paris or Madrid. These are bigger cities with better international connections and better weather.

We will always be in the mix for different reasons (money, Pep, facilities, style of football, premier league) but it is a relative headwind for us vs the likes of Barcelona. He'll, I'd move to Barcelona in a flash.

Simples - none of the clubs in the other cities wanted him, and neither did we.

That said I do struggle to understand why anyone would choose the cesspool down the M62 - there do have to be some limits after all

I don't think anyone really thought we were in for him in their heart of hearts. I know though as i type this it goes in the transfer forum xD

Since Ronaldo left Madrid i think his future was sealed, even prior to that, simple numbers showed Ronaldo at the end of his race (age). It is just a matter of cost and when most likely.

It wouldn't surprise me if there is some kind of agreement in his contract. PSG effectively get him on loan for a few years, then have to accept a bid from Real as part of the deal, which covers everything.

Has taken the number 7 at PSG. IMO he will stay another season or two in Paris then will move to Real and finish his career there while trying to surpass the achievements of his greatest idol the fake.

In my opinion after PSG Mbappe is going to Madrid. That is his choice.....

However we have seen examples (Sanchez, jorginho) where the player does NOT end up at the club he wanted. Perhaps when he does decide to leave we will go all out to sign him. Make him a world record fee player.

Personally I do not want City to become a Galactio team, buying players based on their name rather than their quality. But for Mbappe I would make an exception. The kid is the heir to Messi and Ronaldo. He will win a balon dor but not in france

The EP next year will be a 2 team league, City and one of the others. Probably Liverpool. I would put money on that. You are so far ahead of the rest it’s about who comes 2nd.
