What a fucking dreadful 3rd kit.
You know, you may have something there...We glow when we want,
we glow when we want,
we're Man Citeh,
we glow when we want!
Why can't we have something like that (the kit, not the player)? We had that basic design back in the 1970s; how come Palace got hold of it off us?
Never heard that; thanks for the info.Malcolm Allison. He liked it at City so copied it when he went to Palace. It's weird now to think of managers and coaches influencing kits like Allison wanting City to look like AC Milan and Revie wanting Dirty Leeds to look like Real Madrid.
Exactly.Imagine winning a CL final in that fucking thing and seeing it going down in folklore, a-la Dickov...
Exactly.
Ive only seen a poor picture of the new purple shirt but it’s clearly better than that abomination of a kit we wore at Wembley in ’99 - highlighter pen yellow and black stripes, MINGING!
It has an ironic cool to it. Many still own.
Haha! I am! But the point stands...dark blue, dark purple...are there any occasions where we could wear the purple one if we couldn't wear the dark blue?

And on that note the away kit should be AC Milan style every season. I don't think anybody would complain and everybody would buy it.
I still have mine and wear it for the opening match of every season (as well as playing football on occasion, when it often gets a few comments/questions).It has an ironic cool to it. Many still own.

Captain Earnest strikes again! ;-)Already sung back a few years ago when we had a day-glo third kit.
Edit -- actually -- I'm wrong -- it's was "We glow in the dark", etc.
In an ideal world, yes. However, the reason we very rarely have Red and Black striped away kits is because they are really low sellers in comparison to other away kits. True story

The lad shouting or the Blue walking?I remember bring in a van full of my mates back around the time it came out when one of the lads shouted, "fuck me, is that not the ugliest shirt you've ever seen"?
Yep, it was a Blue walking around downtown Toronto wearing that shirt.
I called him a ****.
