Yes that is difficult. Spent much time contemplating over deciding on Intel or AMDYeah, I've built a few myself and find they're a bit like a jigsaw puzzle in that everything really only fits where it's supposed to. The toughest part I find i choosing components in the first place.

I know what you mean mate, I went for the i5 8400 but the ryzen processors are making big progress in the right direction for AMD.I've always plumped for Intel mate, with an nVidia graphics card. No idea why but the thought of an AMD setup never sat right with me.
I just used the stock cooler which came with paste pre applied matethe main issue I had building PC's was the fact that I kept forgetting I needed heat paste for the CPU!.
