I've said before that if you take away the commercial side, the actual team management & player procurement, is like they are trying to emulate City, under Peter Swales.
 
City won last season's war. Such was the extent of the slaughter than Utd decided to retreat from the battlefield before this war even started.

Their instincts are right but had they trusted them in May they could have arrived at the battlefield with a new general instead they slink away to nurse their wounds for a year. Who knows what they will find when they return, a much changed battlefield I expect with new protagonists.

Guardiola outspent Mourinho - just.

The thing is we built a team that won the league and will fight to retain it. Today Utd announced they've given up on theirs as a bad job.

32?? what are they doing?, probably legs on way out at that age if they sign him its got fail stamped all over it,,,noddy could spend wiser than peg
 
fully expect them to get 1 or 2 in...never believe a word that comes out of the mouths of anyone at that club
